@Emma  Yes, he most certainly did. It clearly recommended autoposting your Twitter to Facebook.

If you are going to significantly change an article, as in replacing an entire point (#7 about auto connecting Facebook & Twitter), perhaps there should be a note/addendum indicating the change?

I agree... I've been using Hootsuite for Twitter Chats ever since I signed up. The only downside is that chats can go much faster than the auto-refresh and refreshing even more often you can lose some of the convo. It's still the best way, IMHO.

Extremely happy to see this update. This was one of the big pieces missing that it was still easier to go to Twitter to deal with. Thank you.

#9 is the key to Twitter, I think, and so often missed in the rush to get on there. People start out following the celebs and wonder why it doesn't work for them.

@RobBiesenbach @yvettepistorio I agree, too. My brand is all about fun. If I had a boring, formal bio it would be a disconnect. So, on my website and guest blogs, it's fun... at conferences I sometimes go with a more formal approach.

@professional networker I've never been part of BNI, but I am part of a similarly structured independent group. That certainly helps when building relationships. I don't know if this is what BNI espouses or not... they're tips I've picked up from a few different places, networking seminars, business coaches, books, articles. Thanks for coming by to read.

I have Twilerts & Google Alerts running for my name and company name so I can see if people are talking about me without tagging, i.e. complaints :) Unfortunately, that didn't pick up the Twitter impersonator account when it was set up for some reason.

@biggreenpen That's really difficult in NPO work. I have a client in that situation. The ED is actually nominated to run in the next election, when that is called. So you can imagine how careful we have to be about even RTing her when she talks about the org on her personal Twitter, which is clearly for her campaign.

Whether you hire a staff person or you outsource, there's always a learning curve, so the businesses have to remember they will need to spend time educating this person one way or another!

Thanks for commenting.

Hmmm... Interesting debate. I {LOVE} the coffee mug. If I could, I would buy that for my husband in an instant. Like others, I'm not interested in the f-bomb merchandise. We certainly have our fair share or prescription drugs in my family, but no abuse that I'm aware of. Is that why I'm not offended? It's really pretty impossible to say. If I were American, I think I'd be more offended that the AG was using public money to fight the sale of a coffee mug about how much people love coffee.

@RachelintheOC @sharongreenthal You know what? I teach a lot of beginner social media classes and sometimes the students think they're great... to receive! Usually they've lucked out by getting a link to a paper/article that is actually relevant to them. Then I explain how they've been abused and they promise to never do it themselves.
