@jijjsnjj I did, but unable to understand how to generate one for Google places and yahoo and how i should be entering it in my iPhone. An example will be great.
@jaybeans821 , @jijjsnjj Guys, I'm really sorry, but I am not understanding how should I generate these API keys :-( Please help me with a couple at least, i.e. Google places and Yahoo local search. My Siri says hi, but she can't create a reminder for me. Even for reminder to get working, we need any APIs?
@jaybeans821 I do have the api keys. What I am not sure how to enter them in my phone. For example, if xyz is api key for wolfram, how should I be entering it in settings->siriserver
@jaybeans821 Yes, I did follow your steps religiously, i.e. not hitting Reboot device from Cydia. Instead, I used redsn0w to "Just Boot". Can you please explain more on what you meant by "also you have to get those API keys and put them in"? I do have AssistantExtensions installed from Cydia
@DavidLicqurish @jaybeans821 Does Siri respond when you say Hi or Hello to it?
@jaybeans821 I was able to bring up Siri with the steps you mentioned, but it's not doing it's basic job. If i say Hi, Siri responds "I don't understand Hi". If I ask Siri to create a reminder, it says it can't understand. What else I need to do to get Siri providing these basic functions at least!!
@jaybeans821 Thanks for all the responses. I could fix all the issues.
@jijjsnjj Thanks for the response. I figured it out, but still it didn't allow me to go to 5.0.1, instead I could upgrade to 5.1 semitehered :-(. Will this way of getting siri works on 5.1?
@KickAss56 My iPhone is unlocked using SAMPrefs. Will installing Corona makes sense on this?
@kristikristi Is it stuck on Apple logo?
Hi Friends,
I was able to get Siri up and running, but all my apps started crashing (As mentioned in my previous post). When I rebooted, my iPhone-4 (iOS 5.0.1) was stuck at apple logo and was never booting. Tried all the googled techniques to bring it up but in vain. So, I downgraded it to 4.3.3. Now I am unable to upgrade to 5.0.1 at all. I tried in 2 different Macbook and 2 windows machines.
When I tried from macbook pro (using redsn0W), I get below error when iTunes is restoring Custom IPSW:
"could not be restored because the firmware is not compatible"
And windows, I get below error
"The iPhone “iPhone” could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (1600)
Again, I googled to resolve this error, but in vain.
Really frustrating. Appreciate any help.
Hi,
I followed method suggested by DylanWhite and I am able to get Siri up and running on my iphone-4 IOS 5.0.1. But since then, some of my already installed apps (e.g. Facebook, twitter, etc) refuse to open. Which I click on the app to start it, it will seem like app is opening, but after about 2-3 seconds, it will go back to main screen and the app doesn't open. If I double click the home button, I could see the app in the background. Anyone knows how to fix this?
