@mostly exciting potato @capnsparrow @CptPineapple I show up occasionally when I'm extra-excited or extra-depressed. Can you guess which one I am tonight?

I have never been more securely hog-tied onto the roof of a bandwagon than I am with the Royals this year.
@Guitar @CptPineapple So it is, but my guitar shouldn't be gently weeping yet.

Guys, it's a one-run game. Pitchers for both teams have made mistakes. The Cards have crushed mistakes. We have not. We have guys that can crush mistakes. It just takes one and we're back in a tie game. KEEP IT TOGETHER.
@efb I agree with this.
@TellMyWifeISaidHello @CptPineapple @FantasticFlex What do you define as choking then?
@TellMyWifeISaidHello @FantasticFlex What lack of knowledge? He's the best, nobody's saying he's not, but he made a mistake in a key situation.
Unless you saw a different angle than we did, you didn't see a tag get put on, so I don't know how you're so sure.

That wasn't a stupid out, it was a lazy out. That is beyond inexcusable.
I mean there's no way it's indisputable when you can't see the tag, right?
What did CC do?
Wait what is happening
I thought foul balls short of the bases aren't challengeable...
@j_versace Looked at it on TV... It was a strike.
Yes, Harold. There is a debate.
@StoneColdBLUE Kershaw has not been a fucking mess.
"an unintentional intentional walk"
@Dave! (Or Justin Turner, Maybe) Fact by assertion is not as effective in the internet age...
Please let Harold Reynolds be wrong about it coming down to the bullpens...
Crawford looks fucking awful.
I know Rojas can hit and Hanley frustrates us with his GIDP's, but I'm glad we've got him in there for his defense.
@Mike Petriello We've all been saying it.
@WBBsAs (In Dog We Trust. Un Planeta Sin Gatos) Strike zone starts wherever the Cardinals pitch it and stops wherever the Dodgers pitch it.
I like all the strikeouts. I also like Kershaw pitching all the innings, because I like none of the bullpen (non-Kenley division). I am unsure that these two likes are totally compatible.
That is the EXACT SAME PITCH that got called as strike one on Dee.
@Dang88 I agree with this.
So Puig is sitting today? This is a thing that is happening in real life?

Big bats up next inning... It's not over yet!

@KMT59 Still here! And still don't like the way the 10th and 11th got managed! LOVE the Crawford homer though! Now if we can just avoid loading the bases...
@Spastic It's the kind of thing that shows the total lack of process-based thinking. If you don't want to pinch-run for your second-to-last catcher because you lose flexibility, don't do it whether he's on first, second, or third. If you do because you think you can get the win this inning, do it when he's at first. If he'd done it when AJ was at first, this game is over an hour ago. If you don't do it at all, who knows, no need to have Butera with one out and the bases loaded. Maybe we win it then. This was the worst of both worlds.
It must take a profoundly stupid person to have the primary purpose of your life be playing and coaching a fairly simple game for the better part of 50 years and still be an incompetent tactician.
The chess against checkers metaphor gets used a lot to describe a totally hapless manager... This is more like chess against peek-a-boo.
@ak825 @CptPineapple But if you could...
Dee with high socks is my favorite. He just looks like he's gonna steal all the bases.
Nine pitchers for three innings a piece? I'm gonna need to shift my schedule around if this game goes 27 innings...
Man... Watching Correia throw his signature "85 mph maybe-kind-of-just-a-little-bit-of breaking ball" a foot outside to lefties over and over again is not encouraging. I'm not blaming the loss on him at all, I'm just saying... Spectating Kevin Correia is not my favorite.

You know if you'd told me before the game that Haren and Correia would pitch on the same night and we would only lose by one run, I'm not sure how much more I could have reasonably hoped for.
