The constitution assigns the federal government responsibility to provide for the common defense. It also tasks government with both protecting and not infringing on constitutional liberties. Your assertion that government should do nothing in aviation security is not grounded in the consitution. Its a tactic. The federal government might be able to provide for the common defense and respect liberty by doing nothing, but then again it might not. To suggest your option is constitutionally superior is I dont think supported by the Constitution.
