Agree, my Clarisonic mia also.
If it is high end makeup product, and my friends don't mind to have the kindly used product, i will give away to my friend. I remember couple years ago, i purchases a Japanese brand cream foundation during my visit in HK. The sales associate select the color which is too fair for my skin, after two uses i decided to give away to my friend, she has much light skin tone than me.
In my hometown, people always think makeups contains too much harsh materials. My mother and some relatives/friends who wear no makeup always comment me that i put too much makeup on, and it will demage my skin in a long run, and of course they even said i look like wear a mask with my makeup on. But i find it makeup will not hurt my skin as long as i take it off gently, and wears the good quality makeup. That is the reason i try not to buy makeup made by my own country.
I agree with you. I have been collecting makeups for so long now, i have both of the high end brands and drug store brands. I love 80% of the high end producuts i have, but only about 30% of the drug store prodcuts i feel satisfied with the quality. I feel like i waste my money on the 70% of the cheaper prodcuts.
MAC 239 is my favor, it holds up so good. I purchased it back in 2003, it still work great.
Sound very interesting. I never use up one single eyeshadow or lipstick before. I remember i used up some liquid foundation/face lotion, but never any colorful makeup. It is good idea to not to waste my hard earn money on something i never be able to use it up. For my high end makeup/ or Japanese makeup products i got from my trip to Honk Kong, i trend to collect it, and don't want to use it up, since i know it is harder for me to replace it once i use it up.
@Christine (Temptalia) I found that your rating of makeup product is very helpful for me. I remember you gave A to Wet n wild eyeshadow, it is only less than $5, but very good quality and pigmented product for the price. And you also gave F to the dior eyeshadow, even it is $60. After i discovered your blog and youtube channel, i search your rating and review, swatch before i go out to buy a makeup product.
i am a Chinese with fair to light skin tone netural undertone, the sales ladies in the Sephora or department store always select some foundation color that is too yellow or dark to my skin, now i don't believe in their picks anymore. Last week in the Macy's Channel counter, i asked for a liquid foundation sample to the sales representative, she told me i should have something darker since the lighter color will make me like wearing mask!!! I am thinking really? Too yellowish will make me like wearing maks as well.
