@ATAgnello I use NFC all the time and have seen others use it. With the announcement of money transfers (another huge win for Google) Wallet and NFC are only going to grow. Not to mention employees think I'm from the future when I use NFC. lol
Looks about as familiar as the notification center, panorama, ability to respond to a call with a message, etc did when apple "copied" google. Every company is "borrowing" cues from every other company. Get Over It.
This is so nonsensical. You're arm will get tired? There is nothing saying you can't use the touchpad. Furthermore, its not like you're going to be holding your arm up to the screen for extended periods of time, you're just taping things. I see more problems with Pixel this is just a silly article. Just as bad As the logic of Steve Jobs and the gorilla arm.
This proves....absolutely nothing.
@TiP_Cam You're right and they chose to sue Apple. Perhaps this is just a consumer attempting to give apple a dose of their own medicine. I hope this person wins.
So NOW the system is broken? Forget the number of senseless lawsuits Apple started up. Apple getting sued for something that is "common sense" sounds like you may be defending logic that Apple has already rejected. How many things have Apple sued for being common sense. Rectangles anyone?
Not sure if it's the demand or the slower manufacturing process that has been documented of this phone. Probably the latter.
I think it's pretty clear with the pushing of Google Play the Nexus line is more of a consumer line than developer line. Google could have easily spec'd this thing out with some high price point. Instead they have hardware basically in line with today and a low entry price, I would say that this is a consumer line of products now.
@bnmguy You are arguing an absolutely ridiculous point. the only reason you think your point of "there are infinite ways to design a laptop" is valid is because you have become numb to the lawsuits that apple has levied. Many laptops look the same and yet somehow apple fanboys are so concerned with protecting the look of the Mac and are almost cheering on litigation. You are arguing silly points like the location of the trackpad and such. Really?! Not to mention that this looks nothing like a MacBook. To suggest otherwise is to insult the look of the mac because as a whole this thing is ugly as sin. Your analogy of a bedroom is absolutely ridiculous as well. Sure there can be an infinite number of rooms that look alike but people most certainly don't go accusing each other of stealing another's interior design. And an infinite number of design possibilities only furthers Samsung right to design this thing the way they did because no this is not identical to a MacBook, in fact samsung practiced many variances in this design that make it look nothing like the MacBook. This silliness won't end until posts like these lose their ridiculous titles and people stop believing that Apple owns the rights to ridiculous things such as shapes and postioning of hardware components.
You have got to be kidding me. This is a severe case of making a story out of nothing. The reason fanboy wars are so prevalent is because of propaganda posts like these. Who is going to mistake this cheap looking Chromebook for a MacBook of any kind?
Here's the pic, the GNexus resolution is reported as 1184x720 http://phandroid.s3.amazonaws.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/nexus-prime.jpg
Do you remember the first ever leaked pic of the gnexus? It had its screen resolution displayed and it did not count the software key buttons in the resolution. Same thing may be going on here.
Not the best looker on the surface but regardless of whether this is the Nexus or not, this phone is in a dummy case hiding it's actual looks, almost 100% sure of that.
@Guest911 Calling me dumber? Great comeback. The Galaxy Nexus and ICS was a huge upgrade over the Nexus S and Gingerbread but it didn't sell nearly as well as the iPhone. Wonder why? Doesn't have anything at all to do with the brand. (sarcasm). Would it have sold loads more if it was made by Apple and theoretically called the iNexus? YES, yes it would have.
@TiP_Cam well no, not idiots but the idea of having the new iPhone often trumps any reports that may criticize Apple for a lot of Apple fans. To say that people are buying this phone because it's a good upgrade is a stretch. Saying that people are buying this simply because it's the new iPhone is more frank but c'mon let's be real here, I believe thats closer to the truth.
I'm sorry but if tech bloggers and others are disappointed by the lackluster update, how does pointing to sales invalidate their argument. The iPhone 5 was going to sell regardless, nobody doubted that. Let's be honest most Apple fans buy Apple products just because.
@KVKdragon Since when was being well-known criteria for protecting your property?
I downloaded it like 2 months ago, most definitely not new. It was last updated on April 9th, if that was date you were looking at...
