@thousandroof His product is already on 5.0.1. He bought it used but he was trying to back up info from his original, which was on 5.1. Has nothing to do with Blobs. He just needed the easiest way to get the stuff on his older 5.1 device to his 5.0.1 device.
@henryhelps2012 I wouldn't doubt it.
@JackSneor Barely 2 months.
@CiBean There doesn't seem to be a way that I found that will allow you to back-up your info. However, you should be able to get all your music, videos, and apps through itunes. Your contacts, calenders, etc can be transferred through the cloud. With about 1 hour of time yo should have what you want on your device.
@joebulat Where do these idiots come from. I feel bad that you can't understand the simple point that ProWingz89 made. You should take your iPhone and use it how YOUR iPhone was intended to be used: Take it in your hand and bang it repeatedly against your head and see what breaks first.
@iwanchek Wow, you are a genius! That was the best come back I ever heard. Unfortunately, you are wrong like usual. As long as there are people in this world with your intellect level, I will never stop bitching and putting you in your place. Get used to that! Hahaha. Man you make me laugh. I will miss you when you die from stupidity.
@joebulat Are you here to make a point or just be idiotic. The experts in the game have been suspecting and reporting a 6.0 release time in June for months. Can you read or do you need to go to the local elementary school to find a student to help you out?
@gordon19964 Simple fix... don't mess up. Most errors are due to human error more than programming.
@FarawaySkies They haven't even finished it yet and you want them to release it?
@CiBean The problem is that you are trying to restore your 5.0.1 iPhone from a backup of a 5.1 restore point. I am sure there is is way around it. As for the update, just cancel the download and proceed with the restore. If I come across any info on that, I'll let you know. I restored a device on 5.0.1 from a backup of a 5.0.1 restore point 2 days ago, so being that your older device was 5.1, I think that may be the problem. I will research it on my free time and let you know what I come up with. Good Luck!
@gordon19964 You are comparing 1 exploit to pod2g's 7 exploits. In the past waiting has not helped, however mostly because the hackers were holding on to 1 or 2 exploits. pod2g has 7 now. I'm not saying Apple can't and won't find and patch these like in the past, but I just find it highly unlikely that all 7 can be patched. Finally, someone on the opposition had a decent point!
@iwanchek Hahahaha! I only shit on you my man! Hahahaha! This is way too fun to give up. Good thing I have my JB iPhone 4s to keep up on your posts... I bet I haunt your nightmares! Damn that sounded evil! Hahahahaha!
@iwanchek You make no sense man. I simply state facts. How you decide to take them is your business. Like I've said before... I benefit whether the JB is released or not. I came to my opinion through research and thought. I made a bias free decision and I stick to it. Unless I hear some well thought-out reasons why ios 5 should be released, my mind is not going to change. You ask me to respect your opinion, yet you do not respect mine. You had the balls to attack me when I answered a question with friendly intent to inform another person about information I found while researching. Don't be hypercritical! If you want to make this a battle of wits, you should run to the nearest hardware shore, buy a shovel, and dig your own grave now. And for shit sake, cookie has one c in it!
@phoenixwinch My friend had the same problem. He ended up buying a new screen which gave me the opportunity to open a 4s up and take it apart. It was so fun. The screen is the last part to take off with the new design. Definitely not a project that most should take on their own. Anyway, what if pod2g releases the JB, Apple releases 6.0 the same day without you hearing about it, and you go down to Apple and they give you a new 4s on 6.0? I guess it would be a horrible nightmare. I'm sure you will have enough time to do the swap. Just a random thought after reading your post.
Way too many people have iPhone 4s's on ios 5.1! Timing is everything in the JB world. Get used to it.
