Did you remember to bring a skateboard?
Normally don't like stanced out Audis, but this is FAT.
By the way, anybody agree that it actually looks way better at rolling ride height, complete with "mexiflush"? Or is it just me?
Bugs are so damn photogenic! Wasn't fair on the photographers who shot other models really...
I would love to know more about the car in Mr Vieweger's rig shot. Track it down and feature it Sirs!
When i think of Audi i think of braying, kitesurfing, Clapham management consultants... but that's just me ;)
I do like the rockabilly led sled A1 tho!
My only reservation about these amazing works of art is that for some reason these days i just want ANYTHING American that's more than about 20 years old to be rolling on a set of Supremes or Cragars. Even the five-window. I guess that might not be period correct or style correct or nothin', but there you go. Maybe it's just a phase...
That five-window! That wagon!
Surely i'm not the only one going crazy for the crazy Cedrics?
Now this one i DO like. Although it feels kind of weird to say so.
Veneno is ugly in a daft way; this one is ugly in a "GET OUT OF MY WAY".
Maybe the chaps at Lambo were able to hit the right note on this one because it's single-seat? You know... like a tractor ;)
The v8 Cressida really floated my balls. I mean literally. I was in the bath and when i saw the v8 Cressida my balls literally floated right to the surface. It hurt!
That remote flash thing is a brilliant idea and an awesome shot! Is that your own invention Mr Chen?
Even orange cars look good with a set of TOSCOs. Neuch ;)
I was too slow to vote :(
Which saved me a lot of mind-time :)
The selection of cars in this list makes a great advert for Speedhunters... and the two "finalists" makes a great advert for Speedhunters readers.
Don't know why it's ok for a Japanese to build a German or Italian sports car with all sorts of "track-inspired" but essentially style-led modifications... but it's not ok for an American to build a Japanese sports car on the same tip. That's some upside-down shit if you ask me. And besides, like one fellow mentioned, all the dude has to do if he wants to take it to the track is swap the wheels and adjust the settings on the suspension - which is what you do on a street/track car anyway.
I do think it would benefit from a cage tho as another fellow mentioned - and it's not like the owner couldn't afford one i think. Do i even need to spell out what colour said cage ought to be finished in?*
*24K gold, retards ;)
I just searched used NSX on Pistonheads: £40-60k. England is a crap country in many ways :(
One more thing: this pixellated image thing on all the articles i'm most interested in is starting to get on my balls, SH! Have you guys gone Blu-ray or something and i missed it?
I fitted my new TEs just a couple of weeks ago so i know EXACTLY how stoked you are Mr Klingelhoefer.
PS
Three out of four of them are already kerbed, but who cares? You know what they say: "park it like you stole it!" Hang on, that's not right...
Suspension + tyres + brakes.
@aussieANON @RodChong @Mike Garrett Ha ha that's pretty funny! They never got my hints either about a roving Latin American correspondent :( Never mind. Totally agree with your comment about the comments. It's a great big love-in ovah hea ;)
Well done SH! And Mr Garrett, that 3/4-rear photo of the RTR-X is the best image of it i've seen to date.
Peace
@Ben Chandler @RS779 Yes i think it looks cool. And i do get what you are saying this car is not - so no, i am not missing the point. But i have to say, to me it's more of an insult than an homage to real gassers.
Mr Moore, i see what you did there in picture 9, "McLaren DNA runs through everything here", nice work.
I think this might be my favourite SH post ever, which is an odd one for me personally, 'cos it's 100% OEM... but that's some kind of OEM! I just wish i could make up my mind which sic-fi film it's most reminding me of. "Geometric & Surface Validation", in that typeface, has got to be a sci-fi in-joke (also loved the way the type exactly lines up with the doorway width - anality at its best).
PSI used to think this was kind of boring-looking car - and then i saw it in white in the photos here! Wow. But i will spare you guys another rant about orange cars ;) (Yeah yeah i know it's their trademark colour...)
@speedhunters_dino @jonas maurstad Mine would be one of the other of the two named above. BUT WHICH!?!?!?
