Warford will soon be joined by LaAdrian Waddle, an UDFA. Watching them it's like Godzilla in Tokyo.

SportCenter and ESPN Jumped the Shark in 2000, when they proclaimed a shoe salesman (Jordan) as the Athlete of the Century. Granted, he's probably the GOAT for basketball at present, but best for 100 years? Muhammed Ali was the most recognized athlete of all time, and had Kings and Popes, Tyrants and Saints lined up to meet him. And he risked it all fighting against the hideous War in Viet Nam, and was out of work for the 3-4 best years of his prime. Most likely the most charismatic man alive, or at least since Elvis. And like the very best, always provided as much or more than was expected, on the largest stages in Sport. ESPN fell in love with themselves a long time ago, and that self love endures. But their product sucks, and their lack of evolution and insight is shocking. R.I.P.

Uh, the Lions have a QB worth keeping for the first time in what, 50+ years?? Stafford isn't the problem. A secondary that couldn't stop the Salvation Army, hideous Special Teams play, injuries and some questionable coaching/GM decisions (thinking Javid Best was ok, Titus Young comes to mind) is the problem. And coming off 0-16, the Lions had less talent than several College programs. Last year was a disaster, but for much of the season they had receivers that belonged in the CFL, and NO running game. This year they should pass both Chicago and the Vikings. Stafford has the skills, and he's only 25. This is a bargain.

You should have stopped after Pick #1, but you have successfully defended your crown of "WORST MOCK DRAFT" expert. If U were any dumber, you'd have a tail.

You're wearing a Super Bowl ring because of Harbaugh, Putz. Get a grip.

Only 10 mock drafts so far? Russ spits these out like fortune cookies, with just about the same degree of credibility. If he was any dumber he's have a tail.

On a yearly basis, NOBODY does a worse Mock Draft than Russ Lande. Fisher at #11? Three QB's in the top 10? You could shave a Baboon, give him a handful of darts, and get a better mock than this. Russ is Drain Bamaged. I have no idea why his opinion matters outside his own home.

Have no idea why you added Russ Lande to your staff. That guy is one of the biggest donkeys in Sport Media. Hope U read his latest mock draft. Truly garbage. It would take that clown and hour and a half to watch 60 Minutes. Whoever signed off on hiring him REALLY crapped in his/her hat. Credibility is hard to get, harder to keep. Good luck with yours.

Mingo at #2, Joekell at #11? Russ.... please stop. Just STOP. You're a disgrace to any mammal with opposible thumbs.
Russ Lande... They only analyst more clueless than he is would be Bucky Brooks. Check out his recent mock drafts. You could shave an ape, give him some darts and he would have a better draft than Ol' Russ.

Two Guards in the top 8?? Russ Lande couldn't predict what tomorrow will be. He should keep his mouth shut and have people think he's a fool instead of proving it with a Mock Draft like this.

Great career move there, JoPa, dying when you did. It saved you from the infamy of watching all those other shamed college icons (Woody Hayes, Petrino, among others), drop into the minor leagues, and history will see you as just another pious, self righteous hypocrite who enabled and turned a blind eye to the biggest monster in the history of college sports. The Penn State football program deserves the Death Penalty for a minimum of 5 years. If this perversion doesn't warrant it, what does?

Great idea for Fairley. See if you can get the other adolescents like Leshoure, Young, Berry and Culbreath to go with you.

@patsalltheway Have to agree with most of your rationale. They ARE undisciplined right now, but that will change. Like you, I wouldn't vote him as the #1 coach either. But he, Mayhew and Lewand are all part of a symbiosis that is working very well, and will improve. It's like learning to dance with a new partner, which is a contact sport (football being a collision sport). It's self-editing. They WILL figure it out, altho that's almost impossible to believe seeing how 2/3 of that tri-umvarate came from the Millen era. Evolution applies to many, many disciplines. Adapt or perish. Football is one of those. After a half century of being at the bottom of the food chain, the Lions are finally evolving. There will be hiccups, but for a Lions fan, the glass is half full.

We should keep in mind Schwartz is still a young coach, and so is the team. Both the team and coach are 3 years removed from relative virginity, probably the WORST team of the modern NFL. At least since the 0-26 Tampa Bay Bucs. 0-16 really says it all. Playoffs in 3 years from that?? Someone please show me a similar recent growth curve. They are trending up, and Schwartz is a smart cat. He will get a handle on his talent, and they will acquire more. The Lions are here, and they will get better. Their QB has possibly the livest arm in the league, and they will figure it out. They are drafting well, and coaching well. Now, other teams will see the Lions on their schedule and for the first time since the last Millennium think "This team will be a problem." Please name a hotter young team then they are. Take your time. These ain't your daddy's Lions. Deal with it.
"schwartz came in to a situation that obviously wasnt as bad as it seemed."
Yep, 0-16 wasn't as bad as it seemed. It was worse. They wouldn't have been a top 5 COLLEGE team 3 years ago. With the exception of CJ, Backus, Raola, Gosder and Hanson they've turned over the entire roster. You've just completely shot whatever credibility you may have had, if any. Putz......
Ok, here goes. Everybody raves about Belichick. In the 2000 draft Belichick took Brady at #199 over another QB because he was 2" taller. He went to a garage sale and brought home the Mona Lisa, but didn't know it at the time. After winning 3 SB's in 4 years BY 3 POINTS EACH GAME it was found the Patriots were cheating, taping other teams signals, among other things. Did they gain a 3-4 point advantage going thru the playoffs from cheating?? Certainly possible. Since being busted, the Pat's haven't won a SB, right?? With arguably the best QB in the game. And in spite of having more draft picks in the last 6-7 years than just about anybody, they haven't drafted well. They still have a poor defense and receiving corp. He's a very good coach, certainly. But excellent? A genius? Best in the last 10-12 years? Absolutely not. Personally, I think Belichick is a lucky cheater. Nothing more.
Will alter previous comment. Late first round is vague, and the run on Kirkpatrick, Gilmore, Barron, Jenkins, etc. most likely will begin in the early teens. By #25-6, where U predict the "run" will start, all (possibly with the exception of Jenkins) will be gone.
