Terre Neuve is definitely a better match to my eyes! It looks lovely on you :)
Ha, just saw Clump's comment - that would be way more convenient for you!
Almost $10 per bottle? Someone is making a huge profit!
This is my favorite conditioner, I use about a bottle a month, but luckily I buy it straight from Trader Joe's, so it's $2.99 I think, maybe $3.99. I also use the matching shampoo, same price, and SLS free
And if you want to repurchase, email me, I'm at Trader Joe's all the time :)
This is a really fantastic thing OCC is doing. Various trans-related surgeries can be so important to those who want it (though yup, not everyone wants every surgery available, or any surgery at all), and it's SO awful the way insurance doesn't cover it.
Cisgendered woman needs her uterus removed because it's medically necessary due to say, some type of period-related thing? Covered.
Trangendered man needs his uterus removed because it's medically necessary because it's counterindicated with the testosterone he is taking (which is also medically necessary)? Nope, not covered.
SAME SURGERY. Insurance only covers the one though. So wrong.
I could go on . . .
I noticed that Temptalia changed her disclosure policy - it's above the cut now, so you don't have to click through to see it if you're on the main page, plus it now shows in the RSS feed (it didn't before). I think the wording is more clear, too. I actually like the change, I think it's more transparent.
Honestly, I don't think the guidelines are such a bad thing, I like transparency and clear disclosures. I absolutely, definitely, think they need to apply to magazines (print plus online magazines) too, though!
I am working on my new disclosure policy right now! As of today, I was posting disclosures at the bottom of posts, I'm going to start doing top & bottom, and posting disclosures of "I bought this product" rather than only doing a disclosure if I DIDN'T buy it. I'm not sure what to do about affiliate links though; I feel like I should mark* them like that, but I hate how it interrupts the flow :/
Great post, and thank you for the link love :)
I love It Beautifies! too, so pretty. I thought I was going to love Console Television, but it's too dark for me. Thank you for the swatches! I am now plotting my next Fyrinnae order :)
I heart Fyrinnae. Thank you for the heads-up!
I'm going! I'm excited :)
It looks good on you, but I have to say that I think you look best your natural paler shade - perhaps it's because that's what I'm used to, but although I like both, I like the "natural pale" best :)
This looks like fun, and does this mean that Jessie's Girl is going to release textured polish soon? So excited! Do you have any more details on when?
Wow, that's a big difference! I'd be happy to have brighter/ whiter teeth, but I definitely wouldn't want to be a 2 (or probably a 4) on their scale - that kind of white looks artificial to me. The 6 you are looks fantastic, it's pretty much the ideal, I think :)
Congrats! :)
I have this! I love how it looks in the pan, but I wish the shimmer was a bit finer.
I have a mascara shield, I use it pretty much every time I do my makeup! I love it so much - I don't understand why they aren't more popular in the US! Mine was a $1 cheapie from ebay, though.
I live so close to LA IMATs and I had fun last year -- this year it has just snuck up on me, I sort of knew it was coming, but didn't really realize it was so close!
But you working = another reason to go - I'd love to meet you :)
I totally hear what you're saying, I think it's great to support independently owned companies like UD, but I do think there is a distinction between a independently owned mainstream brand (UD, Too Faced), and an "indie" - an internet-only, self-mixed product (Fyrinnae, Shiro). Brands like OCC, Sugarpill, and Cult Nails fall somewhere in the middle - they aren't quite mainstream yet, though OCC is definitely getting there!, but they aren't quite indies.
I'm not saying that one type of company is superior to another, either. There are advantages and disadvantages to both. I just think there are still distinctions between the types of companies. But again, I hear what you're saying - there are definitely distinctions between independently owned mainstream brands and the big conglomerate mainstream brands owned by L'oreal, Estee Lauder, etc.
This is fantastic, by far the best mascara ad I've seen!
You look lovely - this is a gorgeous look.
