@Bro Montana @jwoude23 Bear Down Sorry, but the numbers offer absolutely no support to that sentiment.
@Buhlitz @jwoude23 Bear Down he definitely had a good year in that role. Very efficient, although no TDs.
But from what I understand Bell is expected to see very little playing time. Bush basically takes his snaps plus plenty of LeShoure's. A #3 RB rarely gets many touches if the two guys in front of him are healthy.
although, to be fair, Bush has a higher TD percentage (one TD per every 33 involvements to one per 46 for Forte). So he's slightly better at scoring TDs, but that's it.
In case LKP wants to dispute that Forte is a better pass catcher. Forte has higher catch percentage, yards per catch, yards per target, and yards per season than Bush. So Forte is better both in efficiency and volume.
For rushing, their efficiency is basically identical (Bush 4.3 ypc, Forte 4.2), only Forte has maintained that efficiency with a much higher volume.
To put it another way, Bush's best rushing season (1,086 yards, 6 TDS) is basically identical to Forte's average season (1,065 yards, 5.2 TDs). On their careers, Forte averages 1530 yards from scrimmage and 7.0 TDs per season to Bush's 984 yards and 6.3 TDs per season.
And if you want to argue it's just because Forte touches the ball more, that's wrong. Both Bush and Forte average 4.7 yards per involvement (carry or passing target) on their careers (Forte's is actually slightly higher before rounding: 4.73 to 4.68).
So spare me any excuses, LKP. There is no possible way you can argue Bush is a better RB than Forte.
in two fewer NFL seasons, Forte has been more durable and done a better job of amassing yardage. He is one of the most consistent backs in the NFL for moving the ball.
like QB, this one was generally easy to rate top to bottom. Pretty clear cut IMO.
So the only butthurt I see is LKP trying to argue Detroit has better RBs than Chicago. Sorry.
Forte > Bush (as receiver and rusher, seriously, check the stats)
Bush > LeShoure
Until Bell emerges as more than a #3 back who will barely touch the ball (and if he does, proves that he can continue to produce at a high clip), Chicago has better RBs. Forte is a proven very good player.

3 MayI asked Sarah Jessica Parker if there'd be another Sex and the City movie but she said "neigh"
Tyler Wilson got drafted by Oakland in round 4, looked good in rookie minicamp, and will be given a legit shot to compete for a starting job in camp with Matt Flynn and Terelly Pryor.
Stop me if you've heard this before. Poor Flynn.
Coach Q named one of three finalists for coach of the year!

woah. Atlanta Hawks looking to hire a euroleague coach. Dealing with NBA egos and culture will be an entirely different adjustment for him.
