@tbtstt The even crazier thing is, his last gravel rally was over 13-14months ago, start of May 2013. So to just jump into the DS3 and blitz the gravel course is sensational.

@Acc @SeBaBunea Thats the thing, at Melbourne my mates on the front row of the grandstands DIDN'T even have to wear earplugs, even at the start of the race and they were 25metres infront of the S/F line. Plus the aussie V8Supercars were louder then the F1s.

Awesome stuff mate! Glad to see you back.

Question, what gear are you shooting with nowadays? I know it doesn't make a huge difference. Think I noticed a shot of two with your 50 f1.2.

Just a shame the new site wipes the Exif data, always liked guessing what the shot where taken at.

I too am looking forward to next year, and looking into ways to lift my photography to new higher ground. I have been fortunate to connect with a few new clients in the last 2years, and the most recent one got me shooting for them at World Time Attack, and ultimately got to shoot one of the top aussie built time attack cars of Pulse Evo at the clients HQ.

It hasn't happened over night and is a matter of being in the right place, right time & With talking to the right people aswell. Getting to even connect with some of the leading photographers of the australian field, and also getting to connect with Brad again, and meet Dino and yourself Rod on the saturday night drift event at WTAC.

Can't wait for next year, as the best is yet to come!

Are you looking at getting some of these to MadMike to sell at his site, like the other shirts? As paying $40 shipping to Sydney for a $30 calendar is a bit much, i can wait though.

@Mfabs In a way yes it was, only cause everyone expected explosions, jumps, jumping apes etc. but I liked the back to basics approach. Also like it said in the title it was the ultimate gymkhana course. Last one I truly liked was the one in france (so gym3, first one with the ford)

@Mfabs So coming 2nd to Higgins in the US rally series, makes him a dud rally driver? And with his multiple rally wins in the last several years in the US. Fine he didn't go that well in the WRC but when your 43 years old and have the money he has you would be doing it too.

8 months, 2 weeks ago on Gymkhana 6: Back To Basics

@JDMized lol, well if you had the money that he has at 43yrs old you would do the same thing. He knew he was never going to be fast, he just went out to have a blast.

@FredricAasbo  @Matt Burgess @Driveitlikeyoustoleit Back in the 70's in Australia we had the Southern Cross Rally which was a 4-5 day rally mostly ran at night (Kinda around the general area of the coast where the WRC is held now). My father was a navigator and remembers the factory mitsubishi team running the Lancers breaking some parts on one of the cars. They went to a spectator who had one the LA Lancers and offered to take him around with the crew for the rest of the rally, and fit his car with full "works" gear after the rally. Which he accepted. Pretty cool.

Great shots Sean. Love the low-DOF shots, must of been hard to get crisp shots with them coming at you that fast.

Also don't know if it's just your PP or the your camera but i'm starting to like the colour tones of your shots, as you use a Nikon. I can always pick your shots over the other crew, just by the colour tones.

Again keep it up.
