I am so ready for this series. Moff, I can't wait to see what genius you have in store this time! :D

I dearly hope that the finale isn't all Cybermen. How dull would that be?

Anyone but Davies.

1 month ago on Moffat: Who says the Doctor is NOT human?
I loved what Moffat did with this. Gallifrey really needed to come back, and Moffat did RTD a favour and tidied up and improved parts of RTD's era!
1 month ago on Why Bringing Back Gallifrey Is Right…
Excellent! Moff confirmed for Series 9! His excellence continues! :D
1 month ago on Moffat Teases Massive Cliffhanger
And yes, it's great that we won, but because we won with this scene, a scene which is drama and not sci-fi...well, it's just plain embarrassing when you compare it against the others in that list. This is the work of fangirls and nothing else.
1 month ago on Doomsday Farewell Declared Greatest Sci-Fi Moment
For the record, I adore "Army of Ghosts"/"Doomsday". A brilliant story. But I ALWAYS switch off after Rose gets stuck in the other universe, as the last 20 or so minutes of Doomsday is just awful Doctor and Rose drivel. I just couldn't care less about her.
Criminally underrated episodes. This series is absolutely perfect, even COTBS is great.

Can we salvage this character that RTD utterly ruined? Hopefully!
1 month, 2 weeks ago on Is it time for Davros to return?
Could have worked just as well. Would have given him a decent series.
1 month, 2 weeks ago on What if… Tennant had stayed for Series 5?
Reading these comments, I am so glad fans are kept away from the storytelling department.
1 month, 3 weeks ago on McGann Signed Petition for 8th Doctor Spin-off
Love McGann but he should never come back (except maybe in a multi-Doctor special). Yes it was sad he was so underused, but Capaldi needs 100% of the attention, and you cannot have two Doctors active at the same time. A spinoff should not have anything to do with the Doctor.
@Ivegotkidneys @giddir You're kidding right?
1 month, 3 weeks ago on The End of Time: Why it Needs More Love
More love? MORE? Trying to criticize this episode is impossible enough as it is, like trying to criticise any RTD-era episode other than L&M and FH. It is almost held as sacred..
Why film in Cardiff when you can actually film in Bristol? It's like 40 miles on the M4

Mehhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Boring character from a poor episode.

Great collection of episodes. All 10/10. Yes, even Victory. I adore Victory, it may not be as good as the Dalek stuff in Series 1, but it certainly was a lot better than the Dalek episodes in Series 2, 3 and especially 4. Though the paradigm colours are a bit...vibrant.
1 month, 3 weeks ago on New Who: The Story Thus Far – Series 5 (Episodes 1-6)
Finally, double-parters! There were barely any good ones in Series 1-4, other than TEC/TDD and SITL/FOTD, but then Series 5-6 - had all fantastic ones. And then they were taken away, just as they were getting good! Never saw the logic in that! The finales were still as good as normal, but I miss a good old cliffhanger!
1 month, 4 weeks ago on Two-Part Finale for Series 8
Surprised about the era ranks, but I suppose it's because the 11th is the most recent era. Give it time, I'm sure people will appreciate it much more, and people may one day see it as a true golden era of the show (though it's still not as good as 1st Doctor/4th Doctor eras).
And End of Time beating Time of the Doctor? Wow...seriously?
1 month, 4 weeks ago on Analysing The Top Doctor Who Stories (DWM 2014)
@TheOncomingHurricane The Terrible Time Trilogy has a nice ring to it, actually. Some of the worst stories ever! Contrast it to the Terrific Trenzalore Trilogy, the best stories! :D
2 months ago on The Top Stories & Doctors (According to DWM 2014)
Good to see Matt come out so well. I'd agree with those rankings entirely.
@VortexDan Captain positivity strikes again...
2 months ago on Doctor Who Could Have Ended With Tennant
Were they mad? If they had cancelled the show after Series 4, the final act of the show would have been the awful 2009 specials. That is not the way any show deserves to go!
After the success and acclaim of the current era, I hope the Beeb have learnt their lesson!
@The Genie @giddir You missing the point that that spin-off, alongside Torchwood, didn't having an incarnation of the Doctor as a leading protagonist. That is what would detract from the core show.
2 months ago on Campbell-Jones Wants McGann Spin-Off
A McGann spin off is a terrible idea and should never happen. Yes, he was underused, and that's sad, but Capaldi deserves 100% of the spotlight and any McGann spin-off will detract from his tenure, which isn't fair. McGann is gone, and "Night of the Doctor" was a great 'finale' for Eight. You can never satiate Doctor Who fans, always demanding more...
Seriously, there wasn't a bad episode in this series at all. "Nightmare in Silver" probably gets the lowest score from me, but it's still a 8/10. The rest are all 9/10 and 10/10, and more of the latter. It was just so wonderful. Clara become my favourite companion after just "Asylum of the Daleks", Matt gave his best ever performance in episodes like TROA, NIS and TNOTD, and Moffat was at 100%.
I so hope Series 8 is like this series. Without failure, each series is definitely better than the last, so Series 8 may even surpass 7!
2 months ago on Why I Love… Series 7
@The Grey Ghost is that even possible? XD
Agree with them all but Jenny. Hope she never returns.
2 months ago on 5 Could Have Been Companions
@VERITASERUMUK @Sir James Bond I'd still advocate "The Eleventh Hour" as an equally suitable starting place.
2 months ago on Could The Eleven Doctors Have Been Achieved Without Overcrowding?
@Huknar Just by doing that you've overcrowded the episode. This is why fans should never ever be let near storytelling. Less is more.
I like Cold War, but it was typical Gatiss. Some scenes were a bit cringey, and it was a bit slow in places. Lots of people say he should be the next showrunner, but not unless he improves on his scripts and gets them up to Moffat standards.
As for Dalek, what else can I say other than it is a masterpiece.
2 months, 1 week ago on Dalek or Cold War?
Single part finales are brilliant! TWORS and TNOTD are better than most of the others by some considerably distance
2 months, 1 week ago on Two-Part Finale for Series 8
It was great. Though, to be fair, when has he ever written a bad script
2 months, 1 week ago on Moffat: Day Was My Most Difficult Script Ever
Meh. His stories were really boring, at least I find. They just didn't feel like DW episodes, but were still better than most of what we got in Series 1-4.
2 months, 1 week ago on Bring Back… Paul Cornell
@JJ2000 @giddir Of course I'm serious. Serious 7 rocked! :D
2 months, 2 weeks ago on Capaldi on Track to Be “One of the best Doctors ever”
Moffat and Capaldi - a perfect combination! I hope we keep to the incredible level of quality we saw in Series 7, but it actually looks like we're going to surmount it! :D
Double-parters are a bit hit or miss tbh.
Great ones are "The Impossible Astronaut" double-parter, "The Time of Angels" double-parter, "The Pandorica Opens" double-parter, and the "Silence in the Library" double-parter. Bad ones include that dreadful cybermen one in Series 2, the Series 3 finale (though that was a triple-parter), the Sontaran one, and the Silurian one in Series 5.
2 months, 3 weeks ago on Change, My Dear: Rebirth from the 50th
I don't care who writes, I just want new, brilliant episodes frankly. Every writer who has contributed has been great, even RTD (on his good days only, unfortunately).
2 months, 3 weeks ago on Bring Back… Helen Raynor
@supermoff @Ollie Walton Harrod Indeed, he was awful, though RTD wrote him terrible tbf, it's not Simm's fault. Same with Davros.
@whovian101 Series 2 was incredibly bad, but independently of Rose/Ten. It just had so few good stories.
2 months, 4 weeks ago on A Bad Wolf or Just Plain Bad? Addressing Rose Criticisms
Ah, she was an ok character for the most part, she was just given some pretty atrocious stories tbh. Regardless her relationship with the Tenth Doctor was just...unfathomably revolting. And then she reappeared in the Series 4 finale and that was awful. Essentially, there is just so little to like about her. Clara made me like her more in Asylum of the Daleks than Rose did in the whole of Series 1-2. But I guess that's just the talent of characterisation. RTD just couldn't write very good characters.
Then again, you've worded this so strongly, you have made me reconsider her a little bit. I think I'll watch some of her stories again, maybe reconsider my outlook. That's the power of a well worded article, so well done. Maybe if you wrote an article on the positives of the RTD era, I may stop dislikng that as well XD
@michg24 @Notsosmartguy The Doctor's relationship with River was the perfect amount: not always in your face (i.e. Rose) but there enough to know she matters. There weren't any plotholes to clear up from Series 5 (or 6) anyway, just motivations. Time of the Doctor explained everything else, and everything now makes perfect sense.
2 months, 4 weeks ago on RTD on Doctor Who Becoming “Too Soapy”
It was a touch soapy. The two eras are soapy woapy and time wimey respectively XD Ahh, but it wasn't that bad. Sure, it got a little tedious, but it was down-to-earth and interesting to watch. But, Moffat managed to make far more interesting characters, and I had much greater emotional investment with Amy and Rory and co than Rose and co. I dunno how, but Moff era characters feel so much more...real and emotional. Although Donna is queen emotion, she was great! :D
Happy birthday RTD. I didn't like your writing, but thank you for bringing the show back. And happy birthday to the great JC, who plays my now my fave companion!
3 months ago on Happy Birthday, Jenna Coleman & RTD!
All great but the End of Time. That was truly terrible. Only redeeming part was Smith's debut scene.
