@capnsparrow Dude, it wasn't AJ's fault. No one thought he'd charge - he had no reason to. And once it happened, AJ tackled him & wouldn't let go. He protected his pitcher as best he could, & he's the hardest worker on the team. I usually love your comments, but please cut him some slack.
@Tony Fernandez @El Kapitan You can't let them think you aren't in control. No one EVER says sorry
Mitch Williams was getting pretty pissed & had a great point I didn't notice at first - Quentin didn't try to back away from the pitch. He actually LEANED INTO IT! How can you be pissed you got hit when you step into it? And Amsinger just thinks Greinke deserved to be charged for not saying sorry! What the hell is that?! None of them mentioned Kemp almost taking one in the head in the 1st
@Mantis Shrimp, not moderator Greinke was like, "Bring it." You could see him say it on the replay
@Catfishin Only classic! Hockey's a great sport, but has no place on a baseball diamond. Plus, Posey looks like a new-school jackass in it.
@Catfishfryin @El Kapitan Reminds me of when the Philadelphia Eagles traded Chris Carter away because the coach said, "All he does is catch touchdowns." Except Carter didn't suck when he got older the way Thames did for us.
@capnsparrow @EephusBlue That's exactly what Buck came around to say by the end of his segment; that it was a tool to confirm their gut instincts
@Catfishfryin I miss Jamarcus Gwybbons Jr. And when I say I "miss" him, I mean I miss hearing the name, not seeing them play.
@elysian park grill @EephusBlue Buck says, Take that advanced metrics! (Paraphrasing)
@EephusBlue Not bad. I heard how interesting Harold has been lately
@DBrim @El Kapitan @EephusBlue @capnsparrow Fair point
@ThtsaPaddlin RYU tomorrow!
@EephusBlue @DBrim @capnsparrow @El Kapitan Maybe they just want to wait till tomorrow so no one will think it's an April fool's day joke? Didn't stop the Rangers though
In Clayton's post-game interview on the field, when they started talking about Mark Walter, I was certain they were gonna announce the new contract right there. That would've been incredible timing in front of the fans.
@capnsparrow @El Kapitan @JoeyE You think it's real Cap? Or a BS April fools report? I hate that I'm not gonna be able to believe anything I hear reported tomorrow. At least there'll be a game to take me away from any news feeds
@Antonio G Ohhhhhhhhhh, that makes sense
@JoeyE I'm trying to figure out why Texas would offer an 8 year big money contract to a shortstop when they have Profar coming up fast behind him. And even more confusing is why Andrus & Boras would ever accept it. Is he already planning for his move to 3rd base in a year or 2? And didn't anyone tell them this is exactly the same thing they did to Michael Young? Is the money just too good for him to go somewhere he could keep playing SS?
You guys have any ideas why this is happening?
@white_guilt_paul @EephusBlue @ThtsaPaddlin They have a long, well documented history of cheating. The 1951 New York Giants installed a telescope in their scoreboard & used it to steal signs during games. That's how they went from being 13 1/2 games back in mid-August, to win 37 of 44 and force a playoff with the then Brooklyn Dodgers that culminated in Bobby Thompson hitting the, "Shot Heard Round the World." And then they still got whupped by the Yankees in the WS. That's the cheating you meant, right Eephus?
