@EhruMejil But all ice cream is pretty much the same.

@EhruMejil It pretty much is a Jag E-type, the similarities are all there. Except those gaudy foglights which look silly IMO, even more so when the pop ups are up.
@timmy201 I was going to say we never stopped having them. Japan only, LOL, more like Japan taking them back from us ;)

How can you say new and innovative wheels are coming from Rays when those on the Mazda are clearly a direct copy of Rotiform BLQ's? I'm no Rotiform lover, but they must feel pretty good when a huge company like Rays copies them.
While I usually have something good to say about everything Japanese, this has got me a bit stumped......I'm neither here nor there with these 5 cars(4 cars and 1 rep).

@SRT FTW True. But that anime is far more easily removed than a bolt on flare kit.

@SRT FTW And Liberty Walk hasn't obliterated your much loved R35 and Lamborghini's? Same same, and mostly done to simply turn heads too. Ugh.

@azmedaj I don't understand how it's paint(no wrap or underlay as such).....need a step by step video of how it's done. Is it super thick chrome paint that is then engraved by hand? I'm lost.

Love the E30 Mighty Boy, reminds me of the little Hako Mighty Boy I saw at Nos2Days 2 years ago, so cool. I also love what the Boom Craft people are doing, must sh!t the purists to tears, but I do wonder how they get away with the 458 treatment when deadmau5 didn't, or do they? You mention that RWB, LB Walk and RBunny were in a position of being way out there at one point and look where they are now. You also say it'd be boring if everyone did the same thing, yet those people are doing just that, the same, boring thing, car after car within their own companies. They should try something a little new.....just my opinion of course.
Liberty Walk always dissappoint....their stuff is 100% cookie cutter boring. Sorry.

I like it, but it could do with a taller front tyre or more lows. The stretch and wheel gap look silly....especially seeing the Japanese are usually so good and getting it right.
@VintageDrGonzo Wut? Just go to any Esso station....as if a specific one matters......it may be nowhere near where you'll be.
@Brett Allen I'm off in 10 weeks(for 2 weeks) and can't wait.....It's become a yearly trip for me now. You'll have a blast!! I find it impossible to see how anyone could have a bad time there!!

Any hints on what something like this costs, and the time spent away?
Being 75% Europe based it's not a cheap adventure for people from our side of the world!!
I do dislike when people travel solely for cars though, so it's good that you've included a few non-car things. Japan for one is sooooo full of different experiences that going solely for cars(or snowboarding as most do) really bugs me.....people need to experience more than just one thing when they go to a totally different country.
Get ready for the time when all your friends do nothing but talk houses and babies as you mentioned, because it's not too far away by the sounds of it. It's really sad when everything starts to revolve around those 2 things.....part of growing up I guess, but still sad.
@christse Is it really that far on foot? Might not bother.....or taxi maybe

Whats the best way to get to the Mooneyes shop/cafe in Yokohama if you were to be day tripping it there from Tokyo? Train then walk, or what? Any tips would be great.

This might seem like a silly question being that it's a vehicle rest stop, but is the Tatsumi PA at all accessible as a pedestrian? Say if you were a tourist without a car and wanted to have a look, can you get there easily or not at all? Best nights?
Needs more Rotiform......but in all honesty, surely it could have been made to look a little better?
Very cool to see this being done.....I wonder where it will take us and what will be able to be done in the future?

Love the Hartge's!
I love it and all the work that's gone into it. I love the little custom touches, the colors used, the carbon and shades of satin, matt and gloss.....but I think it's a slight case of less may have been more here. Just a little too much going on for me.

"it quickly became clear that us Kiwis are nearly alone in our Mazda rotary obsession" HUH? Australia, PR to name a couple....you make it sound as if NZ is the only country thats a fan of the rotor.
I liked it more before the rotary and that's saying something as I'm a through and through rotor fan. It just doesn't look good having the rear all chopped up to make it "fit".
It's good to finally see something non-Rocket Bunny or LB Walk featured though!
I just can't bare it anymore. These kits are just getting worse and so over done now. I'm sorry to all the fans but really look at this thing, it's hideous and so tacky. To me it's almost become like he's just doing it for the sake of getting more e-cred, and it's backfiring IMO.Also, whats with that damn arch gap at the front, it's woeful!

@Brett Allen Hopefully this will happen sooner rather than later. I'm well and truly over it.....and big wings were so uncool at one point.....when did they get bigger and become cool again???
I'd have thought BMW would have learned the first time around with Phoenix Yellow being the worst liked colour on E46 M3's....they're always the cheapest. Doesn't look any better on the M4's.
@bhop73 @Spaghetti Agreed. If you look on the homepage, half of the stories are either about these types of cars or the cover photo is of one. I mean, WTF????

@MatthewBortot Agreed. It's only ever women that want to make sure they are heard....why is that? Whenever something happens that offends women or where women need make a point, if you reverse the situation to involve men in the same way you can almost be guaranteed you won't hear a peep from the men of the world.
@Anthraxxx Any child of that age enjoys being in a big toy car...boy or girl.
@Taryn Croucher You're rare, trust me....most girls that meet a car guy don't change themselves to accept his hobby, they want to change him and have him lose interest in the hobby. Has happened to most of my mates and it truly is sad....sad that women are like that and sad that men will weaken so easily.
