I hate to be that guy, but bags and wheels just aren't impressive enough mods to be seen as having "built" a car(don't get me wrong, I love all the cars on this page though). What I do find impressive is that you know every car owners name!!!!!!!!!

Finally a car without Brides......boy I'm over those seats!
5 days, 9 hours ago on Do It Differently:
A Wide & Boosted E46
@BBerryski Unfortunately I agree, I think to some extent people love to have "haters" these days......why? I'm not saying that's what's happening here, but it's common. I like the car, but ditch a few things and take away some of things that really are for race only.
5 days, 9 hours ago on Yogi’s Super Sedan: Is Race Car A Style?
@MatthewBortot Was it really ever JUST about track cars.....I don't remember that?
5 days, 10 hours ago on Yogi’s Super Sedan: Is Race Car A Style?
@scibO That's why I said "influence"
1 week, 1 day ago on Sounds Of Power: This Is Australia
@FraserinFinland Like the Japanese running Work Meisters/SSr Professors or TE37's perhaps, or Europeans on BBS or OZ....same same.I get your point though.
@Emptypie I'm no Simmons lover, but I'm no hater either, but something that really grabs my goat is how people hate on Aussies for running Aussie wheels on a lot of the cars here.....why the fuck shouldn't we!?!?! No JDMyo fanboi's sook about the Japanese running almost exclusively Japanese branded wheels, do they?
1 week, 2 days ago on Sounds Of Power: This Is Australia
@ae70 One poorly constructed sentence, but ok. Kinda correct, but very narrow minded.
@MatthewBortot Bet he is, or some squid with too much hate on the brain. Lets all follow trends of the world as he says we must. Bogan Donk is a bit right, but that's more of a wog/leb influence.
@loslogo You sound like a sloppy fart.....we do plenty good here!
@Smiggins @smithadamb I agree....I started to think this post was going to be a full on boganfest of Commodores, utes, Fords and V8's(and it is), a few Mazda's and Datto's thrown in doesn't really show the diversity here......a follow up post with some different cars might help, but unfortunately PC is mostly boganville and while I don't dislike these cars AT ALL, we do do other things just as well!
How long before those wheels end up on a bagged MK6 Golf GTI....LOL!

@airforce1 But it's got the horrid plastic garden-bed edging front lip that's been screwed on.....surely that's a plus.
Who wouldn't take the time to bare metal and fully restore every nut and bolt to perfection on an L10A or L10B Cosmo these days. The values have tripled and quadrupled in the last 18 months.......well worth it to do them perfectly now!

Love 'em all, clean and ratty....definitely want to get into something like this at some point! I have no idea about these cars or their scene, but I love the look of all of them and will own something like one of these before too long!

Dear 1600 wagon guy, please go with 03's, that is all.
Great post, awesome cars, but the 2 from Oz are the clear winners for me!
1 month ago on #IAMTHESPEEDHUNTER: Wagon Lovin’
@ITB Wut? If you want raised rubbish on ugly wheels, perhaps a 4x4 or off-road site is better for you.
RS6 wagon is my ultimate. Period.
Also the little Mazda Familia/1300 wagons should have been mentioned....by far one of the coolest retro JDM wagons ever produced!!!
@The One Otaku Same goes for a lot of the cars that are now over-hyped and therefore over-priced. A splittie 23 window just sold for $202k in Australia. It's beyond ridiculous, surely those prices aren't sustainable, and 99% of it comes from internet hype.

To add, technology has certainly allowed us to view things on a worldwide scale, and that is something I love about it, but as a whole, I think it's a negative. I know I'm not the only one to think like this either, people left, right and centre are getting off forums and social media to avoid it all.
In response to your opening statement, I think the complete opposite. It's the worst time ever to be a car person....the internet, smartphones, social media etc has ruined the car scene. People doing things purely to gain e-fame and "likes", doing mods, posting photo's on social media then stripping and selling a car once they've been "noticed", arguments, haters and elitists everywhere. It simply isn't what it used to be 15-20+ years ago. Just my opinion of course, but I think technology has ruined the car scene worldwide.
@Tak But the USA is THE WORLD, no other countries exist, right? :P

Love the car so far!
Is Mike's main job a signwriter, or does he more or less just work for Redbull?
Can't wait to get back to Japan.....no car things planned this time, but I'm sure more than a few will creep their way into the trip. Great coverage as always!!!

@Yik Han I've already asked this once before, and was told you can only get to it by car.
@RalphScarabaggio @Jagdroach Matt paint, crusty and patina'd grille and bumper.
1 month, 2 weeks ago on New York Winter Meet:
Don’t Let The Cold Stop You
@BigNickel While I can see your point, and locking your car up for half the year would suck, I suppose it's like how people wish for warm summers if they live somewhere that it doesn't happen for more than a couple of months. Try 30+ degrees for 6 months of the year and closer to 35(even 40) for 2-3 of those months and you soon get sick of that too as driving an old school car is not pleasant on those days. I far prefer the cold, not Canada cold I must say where you're snowed in, but 0 to -teens with a nice covering of snow and I'd be more than happy! It sounds like you feel the same way about your climate right now as I do about mine right now.
@eejjkk I dream for snow....I guess you always want what you can't have. People here sook about it being too cold to go out in winter and it barely ever reaches single digits(celsius) on the coldest winters night....they really have no idea what cold is.

What is meant by BOMB in reference to lowriders....I see it often, but don't get what it means? Sorry for n00b question.
1 month, 3 weeks ago on From Skylines To Lowriders:
Welcome To Cholo’s
@Option13 Sigh......why are people so hung up on this site being called SPEEDhunters, it's really just a name, move along.
After all, it really should be renamed Japanhunters.....but I'm not complaining about that at all, because the Japanese do everything well.
I typically love kiwi cars, the way they do them is super cool......but a 6/71 on a 12A, that's actually laughable.
1 month, 4 weeks ago on How To Kiwi:
The 2015 4&Rotary Nationals
@JoshuaWhitcombe Too many cheapies and reps still when looking at wheels. And it's funny, kiwi's give aussies crap for overusing Simmons(mainly on rotors) but they're the most common wheel on rotors in this feature.
Can anyone build one of these LBW/RB cars without plastering it with tacky stickers, or gold intercoolers or something else that's gaudy.....why not just leave it clean? Also that first shot is proof as to why bagged cars only look good sitting still....the front looks super goofy when driving.

@EhruMejil It pretty much is a Jag E-type, the similarities are all there. Except those gaudy foglights which look silly IMO, even more so when the pop ups are up.
@timmy201 I was going to say we never stopped having them. Japan only, LOL, more like Japan taking them back from us ;)
@turbo BEAMS ae86 Yeah yeah, but you get my point.....old salmon.

How can you say new and innovative wheels are coming from Rays when those on the Mazda are clearly a direct copy of Rotiform BLQ's? I'm no Rotiform lover, but they must feel pretty good when a huge company like Rays copies them.
While I usually have something good to say about everything Japanese, this has got me a bit stumped......I'm neither here nor there with these 5 cars(4 cars and 1 rep).

@SRT FTW True. But that anime is far more easily removed than a bolt on flare kit.
2 months, 1 week ago on The Weird & The Wonderful At
Tokyo Auto Salon 2015
@SRT FTW And Liberty Walk hasn't obliterated your much loved R35 and Lamborghini's? Same same, and mostly done to simply turn heads too. Ugh.

@azmedaj I don't understand how it's paint(no wrap or underlay as such).....need a step by step video of how it's done. Is it super thick chrome paint that is then engraved by hand? I'm lost.
Love the E30 Mighty Boy, reminds me of the little Hako Mighty Boy I saw at Nos2Days 2 years ago, so cool. I also love what the Boom Craft people are doing, must sh!t the purists to tears, but I do wonder how they get away with the 458 treatment when deadmau5 didn't, or do they? You mention that RWB, LB Walk and RBunny were in a position of being way out there at one point and look where they are now. You also say it'd be boring if everyone did the same thing, yet those people are doing just that, the same, boring thing, car after car within their own companies. They should try something a little new.....just my opinion of course.
Liberty Walk always dissappoint....their stuff is 100% cookie cutter boring. Sorry.
