Not sure what channel you were watching, but the CBC station I was watching cut back to Ron just before the final montage started, so I saw the whole thing.

I feel like it's also banned in Canada because I have no idea when/if TSN (or anyone else) is going to air it. Not a peep about it on any Canadian airwaves.

Pele is going to be on The Daily Show on Thursday... so that'll be a fun segment (I hope).

I always thought MLB chose TBS because TBS was willing to clear its October schedule to show nothing but postseason games, in contrast to ESPN and ESPN2 where it would have to shoehorn everything around college football and NFL football. That schedule flexibility would be very appealing to any league (see NHL and NBCSN). But after 6 years I don't think this TBS experience has worked out too well...

How is Elvis Presley song titles the "most Canadian way possible"? I would think that would be Rush or Gordon Lightfoot or <insert famous Canadian band here> song titles.

He also messed up a shot-clock violation earlier in the game; he either thought it was a foul or the end of a quarter I can't remember. But it was clear the shot clock had run out.
"you wonder how many more years TNT is going to stick with him calling playoff basketball." I thought the same thing too.

I thought it was a mistake when it was announced that the 2013 WBC would be exclusively broadcast on the MLB Network. Not having ESPN (or another widely available cable outlet in the US) broadcasting part of the tournament hurts the development of this tournament. Perhaps the powers that be will have a change of heart and have ESPN back in the fold, or NBC Sports Net or the soon to be started Fox Sports 1 broadcast part of the '17 tourney along with the MLB Network.

Okay, two things:
1) Pool B actually kicks off first on Friday evening.
2) "the wonderful Gary Thorne and Jose Mota". Jose Mota is wonderful, whereas Gary Thorne is awful.

"Contrasting MLB to the NBA might be a better proposition for next season"
Here's something to consider: the NBA (and the NHL) both have their championship series in late May-early June... when all the networks have wrapped up their seasons, and a few cable outlets are still showing new programming. MLB has their championship series in October... when every single network and cable outlet are showing new episodes of their hit shows... along with the NFL offering Thursday night AND Sunday night games to boot. (Did the networks offer new episodes or repeats during the World Series in the 70s and 80s? Seems like over the past few years, the baseball playoffs have to compete with new programming every October)
Now, which rating is more impressive now? The NBA against nothing in the summer, or MLB against everything in the fall?

"If the city rejects the team's reasonable offer, the NFL would almost surely allow the Chargers to pack up and move down the road."
Los Angeles is north of San Diego, therefore the Chargers would be moving up the road (not down). If they moved down the road, they'd end up in Tijuana.
