@JQuest81 Hey JQuest81. BTW, I want to let you know that I really appreciate your posts here. Regarding the camera.... Boy, I wish I could afford a 5D or maybe even the 6D (because of both being full-frame), but just the cost of the 7D was a stretch for me. Got it on Thomas Island a few years ago (before I lost my job). At the time, it was cheaper than even Amazon and there was no tax, which was great. I love the camera, but with deteriorating health, I haven't been out shooting since late last year. http://picasaweb.google.com/kanoneyez
@Haloruler64 Well, I can understand a mere Nikon user saying that, but we Canon users already have the best, you-all can have the rest. (Actually, I wouldn't mind this as a backup camera but then 1st I need a job so I can afford it.)
Wonderful, but Tracy CA is still not there yet. Still just HSPA+
I already thought it was 24 months (2 yrs), so this is no loss to me.
3 days after your posting this article, I finally got the update. I don't like it. "Gratuitous and useless" was my first impression. The colored tiles for each message is just plain annoying and losing some inherent intuitiveness also bugged me.
@Haloruler64 Well, I was willing to make concessions for a Nikon user, but not now. (JK). Take care. As always, enjoy your articles.
@Haloruler64 Next step is to get you out of the west bay to do some scenic photography with an old man (me). Yosemite is only a couple hrs away from here.
@Haloruler64 Never seen UP! You must be really down. Go rent it & watch with your GF.
@Haloruler64 In that case, we're barking up a tree with a dead squirrel. Squirrel!!! (From movie "Up")
@Haloruler64 Let's hope it not from the FCC. Do you even know what country that image came from?
With several makes on the table, the only place I'd expect to see unreleased products combined like that is from a carrier's testing facility. Here's a sample of one in Australia: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vznaZnoUItU
Google needs to take a stronger position against Apple. It needs to pull all its apps from AppStore, remove support for iPhone and Apple computer OS's. Then lets all sit back and watch Apple squirm as its loyalists start switching to Android. Good riddence Apple--you did it to yourself. Wouldn't play nice and now you're getting kicked out of the sandbox.
Well, as long as some dastardly fellow doesn't come along, steal the phone & cut off the owner's finger, I guess this could work.
@Haloruler64 If your hangouts are of general interest (phones, photography) and you feel comfortable with it, I'd like to join in one time. Otherwise, np.
I've tried video chatting over the carrier network and it sucks. I'd rather use it in a wifi area any day.
@Haloruler64 @ShaneValentine Well, the announcement did say "Tiered and SOON Unlimited plan customers who have LTE devices." Perhaps an intentional leak about future plans. Just as voice went "unlimited," it was inevitable that data would get there sooner or later. And not be overlooked is that it is limited to those using the LTE network. Problem is LTE is not yet as widely deployed as it needs to be. Although my phone is capable, I do not reside in an LTE area. When I go to the Bay Area (SF) or Modesto, I have LTE coverage, but I'm not there that often.
Steve Jobs: We're better than you are! We have better stuff.
Bill Gates: You don't get it, Steve. That doesn't matter!

If adopted permanently, it would be a great feature. I guess most users do not read the developer's comments that say, 'We can't respond to your comments here on Google Play. Please send email to ...." And it is obvious because you'll read comments from users that say stupid stuff like, "You never responded to my post" (Duh!). Unlike most users, I've found all developers that I've dealt with always happy to help work out problems and communicate with users. One developer was so pleased about a positive review I made on my blog regarding the free version, that they sent me the full-fledged paid version free.
Hmm. In that Evil is left up to each person to interpret, I suppose it is actually a good thing because to anyone working there, whatever they may personally consider evil, they can be motivated to watch their own inclinations. Personally, I've always found it baffling to state things in a negative way. The Bible's well-known saying, "Treat others the way you want them to treat you" conjures up a positive viewpoint encouraging positive actions. Google could have said, "Be Kind, Be Gentle, Be Good."
I just love (NOT) the way carriers punish us for being their customer. Its like knowingly going into an abusive relationship and actually thinking that is what you deserve.
