To me it was always simple - the true main purpose of a supercar is brutal raw performance fit in a unique styled body in limited numbers. It's not a car to daily drive it to work or to a shop, it's something you should love and care for. It's a unique creation where you truly feel the soul been put into it.
Most modern so-called supercars are great in terms of performance and price, but they don't have any unique feeling. When you grow with supercars of 80's-90's surrounding you on TV and magazines, they blow head off, they're somewhat crazy.
Honestly, I never understood why would you put rims with barely any tires at all, it always looks out of place. Always.. Rice.

@FrancescoDiGiuseppe I highly doubt it. It reminds me of too many other various cars of present and lacks the feeling of it been Special. F40 and F50 were special, unique. You won't find anything like them. And this one with all of it's engineering genius still lacks the soul that makes car like this - legendary and "hyper". It's not mind-blowing to me.

@FunctionFirst @Kitch I'm not the best source, sry about that, but they do like to have fun at Wangan races, with speed over 300kph. I suppose there's more then that, but I never cared about top speeds anyway. :)
@Kitch Yeah, that's a good point here. I suppose most of the hate started since it got praised maybe a little too much before it was actually on the track. So far I'm pretty sure they're gonna do proper testing and figure out what is missing and fix it.
They don't seem like people rushing to the track without setting up the car..

@Yossarian @Nikhil_P That's exactly what I meant, since I do like pop-ups, C5 is my kind of choice, but I won't argue that C6 has an american feel and it was a Corvette to the core. The new one doesn't have anything special about it, the vette feature was lost here.
Years later, every race C5 I get to see still makes my heart bounce like crazy, they're stunning and brutal and passing years just doesn't get to them. That's class. :)
True, it's a curse for all these cars nowadays. I can't even tell, why would you even want this car if you own C5 or C6. And what they did with backlights is just ugly. :/ It seriously reminds of Camaro.

I agree with everyone who say the rear is messed up badly. I mean IT IS a wide car, it's large, you gotta mark it up for anyone behind.
Just to me the C5 is still the best corvette they've made, I liked C6 less since front lights weren't as good.

Funny to read complains about better car and so on. You know I read quite a while about kind of Tech problems during season and past years , management fails and I must say - NO, they didn't have an advantage, simply the fact that Vettel got in his pace and understood how things go on in F1 (don't mean the 12 season, but F1 '10 where he began his streak).
I enjoy the fact, that fresh blood brought back the thrill in the championship which was overly bored with TOO many rules and regulation.
I mean, I love to see cars collide and go close to each other, where you can feel the fight. Sure we know of the consequences in open wheel series but yet, this is racing, it's supposed to be hard, tough and dangerous. F1 was more and more becoming a parade .

You don't think that 30 victories in World Rally is a great achievement? Don't forget who were their opponents. WRC is different to circuit racing. There, car's get beaten hard or totalled pretty often.
So you say that Subaru engine which 1. WAS a huge pain in the ass in 93 and 2. Still a huge pain in the ass in terms of - keep one running. is still better then the pretty much popular 3s-gte which I won't call a pain in compare? Fine.
Subaru and Evo made themselves popular thanks to marketing which took a much smarter path in 90's. Colin McRay did such a great job himself in rallying I was one of the kids dreaming of a blue Subaru 555. And they always did a good job with the well known livery and "rally feel" to their cars. No one doesn't even care they're not best in rally for a very long time.
And Mitsu is quite alike. It's also a childhood of many who watched Rally Art Red Evo attacking corners in WRC and the road version with the same feel. Fast and Furious + Taxi, both made a huge marketing boost to Evo.
And don't forget one more thing. The NFS Underground played it's own role in making various cars really popular among people/kids far from motorsport. No wonder the Celica 18-20 that didn't get there, aren't popular unlike 23.

@Asko M Pfff.. Better? Look at WRC results, Subaru won only when driven by an amazing Colin McRay, it never did any good since then. And EVO is there in the past as well. It's marketing, just admit the fact.
It needed a photo from the rear, since you can't get a whole idea behind this crazy build. It is something new to my eyes, but I still hope they will repaint this car in the future.)
