Water outlet manifold above the exhaust ports? These guys have done their homework. There is a lot of over-the-top fiddly stuff that is just mechanically impressive (engine porn) and doesn't really need to be there, but this is DAMN good none-the-less.

lol @ the photo you used of the CR-X! Interesting that there are vehicles from all around the world here, plenty of goodies. Never heard of the AMG Hammer and there isn't much focus on the Renault 5's or anything in Australia. But the S4 has earnt its fame everywhere I think. Would have been interesting to have a VL Walkinshaw in there! hahaha but that's a bit of an Aussie-only vehicle.

@sean klingelhoefer  @mynameisasa I don't want to agree or disagree with the post you're replying to Sean. I enjoy the theme of this car but the fact that makes it arguably not feature-worthy is not that it doesn't have a 'long list of mods' (anyone can buy parts) it's that it doesn't seem to have any history. Has he restored it or something? Is there an interesting back-story? The car is almost plain but if he's done a lot of work to it behind the scenes then that's what makes it feature-worthy.

@tomok Ah yes, most people generalise about the later models rather than the early ones; refreshing to hear someone talk about the chrome bumper cars enthusiastically. From what I've seen on the internet, the A30 definitely seems to be a more popular and more desirable car. We never got them in Australia, but we do have the 130s, 230s and 330s, and the very occasional 2nd generation Gloria (pre-A30). All gorgeous cars

1 year, 10 months ago on Vintage Daily: Bensopra P130 Cedric

@tomok Gloria was still Prince when this car was made, but when Nissan & Prince combined, the Gloria and Cedric were the same bodyshape for a couple of models (like, 10 years or more). I think the main appeal of the Gloria is normally better trim & option of pillarless.

Nice one!!! Not a car I'd usually look twice at, a bit new for me but I'm sure it'd be a hoot to drive. And looks a lot better than standard even though the modifications are fairly 'tame' visually.

@MPistol I suppose it's a love it or hate it thing. Most old budget cars don't come with tachos and often the 'sports model' ones aren't very accurate anyway. I love the look of a 5" Autometer tach and the functionality is superb. I think it adds to this interior - each to their own.

Hot six that revs and makes okay power, make it smaller, less weight in the body, more feedback from the steering, brakes etc, all that crap. Not the couch on steroids that they make at the moment.

Nice article. BTW the triple headlight "Datsun 180BSSS" as you've called it (Bluebird name) is not actually a 610, rather it's a 710 or Violet (I doubt it would have been badged as a 180B). Interesting to see the "Chevy" over in South Africa, that's an Australian HQ Statesman which has obviously been exported and sold under the Chevrolet banner. Even by HQ Saloon standards, that wouldn't be the one you'd choose to go circuit racing! hahahaha funny as

@speedhunters_dino Yeah well they have a 'quill' shaft which is a 'consumable' item lol. As in it's designed to be the weakest link and fail before the box (and I guess diff) fails, but the latter doesn't work. Anyway, this quill shaft - Ferrari's idea of a 'consumable' part - costs four and a half grand! ($AUD) hahahhaha
