@FF_pickups Because the Magic don't do that trade?

On a bright note, Fisher has started hitting his 3s

@criznazy53  @Lost Ones It is possible that Trading Harden for #2 pick and locking up Ibaka makes the team better going forward even though Harden is the better player. The drop off might be less

@SB718  @Nick the Quick 4 Life Perk has very little to no value against Bosh. Ibaka and Collision should be getting all the big man minutes

@OBoymuzik I am a basketball fan that likes to talk basketball. Also, don't want to go to bed, seems so boring.

Just want to make a point clear. Saying that playing Perkins has cost the Thunder the series is not to say that Perk has played bad but that by playing him he restricts the Thunder in so many ways against the Heat. That is not to say that he isn't a major reason that the team is here but now that they are here he has no use.

1. by using him on Bosh, you no longer have your best defender on Bosh (Ibaka/Collison)

2. If you have Ibaka/Collision on the floor with Perk then one of them has to guard Battier who play primarily on the permitter. They can't close out well enough to prevent him from getting open looks

3. Unless you don't want to play Ibaka/Collision at all it requires the Thunder to take their best defender or Harden off the court because KD and RW aren't coming out

4. 3 leads to bad matchups on the defensive end or losing some offense.

Basically playing Perk requires the Thunder to play a bigger lineup which has no chance to beat the Heat. Why do you think the 1st/4th quarter splits are so big in this series?

@criznazy53  @Lost Ones That is what the Thunder would like to do and they shouldn't overpay but someone will.

@SB718  @Nick the Quick 4 Life  @OBoymuzik If Harden doesn't have to guard Lebron because Thabo is on the court to do that then all his energy can be used on the offensive end and he probably puts up numbers in line with what he has been doing all year. Missing FTs is due to tired legs 95% of the time

@SB718  @Nick the Quick 4 Life  @DSYIII Ya, try playing great D on the league's most physical player and see what you have left for the offensive end

@OBoymuzik  @SB718  @Nick the Quick 4 Life  @DSYIII Not it doesn't at all. 1) wade is not nearly the physical specimen that Lebron is and doesn't require nearly the stamina to play on D 2) Westbrook is a far better defender than Harden 3) Wade doesn't constantly post you up (if you have never played post D you can't appreciate how tiring it is) 4) Westbrook is probably better conditioned to run around the court chasing wade than Harden is to play Lebron

@Lucas_Allen1  @Lost Ones  @Nick the Quick 4 Life  @ThunderStruck2412 Why didn't doug collins win with the same lineup that Jackson was able to win with in Chicago? Why didn't the Lakers win without Phil Jackson?

You need great players yes, but head coaches can put you over the top

@DSYIII 80% of that can be attributed to Brooks playing him on Lebron where he has to expend so much energy on D against one of the league's most dynamic players instead of being allowed to focus on his offense

@OBoymuzik  @criznazy53 You know Ibaka will get max or close to it though. Big men are so overpaid it is a joke

@ThunderStruck2412  @TheFix82 Yes he is. Not saying he needs to be amnestied, he has his uses against certain teams (Lakers, Spurs, Grizzlies etc.) but in this series Collision/Ibaka are so much better against Heat bigs and so much better with help on drives. Then it allows you to play Thabo/Westbrook/Harden/KD together which is better for offense defense because it frees up Harden on D. I guess saying Perkins is the reason is wrong, playing him at the expense of other people is probably the reason that the Thunder are down right now

@loplopol  @OBoymuzik I agree. That's what Thabo is for, Hide KD on Battier where he won't pick up any fouls cuz Battier doesn't drive, just shoots 3s
