@Planet of the Deaf @Huknar That kind of relationship is hardly groundbreaking, it was similar to 9 and Rose, and you see that kind of dynamic all the time on TV shows with similar characters. It might be a bit new to Doctor Who, but that kind of relationship is on TV so much these days that it was always going to work. The only difference is that Capaldi is playing a grumpy alien instead of a human! Series 8 was very safe and predictable in my opinion.

Is it just me who doesn't like that speech from Flatline? I found it so cringey!

I don't think people should be hired because of their gender or race. It's like the whole agenda with football managers these days. For those who don't know; there is a bit of a growing campaign from black ex-footballers and others to get more black people into management, purely because there aren't enough supposedly. But surely the best person should get the job; if the best manager/actor available is white, is it fair to not give them the job because they're not of another race or gender? Turning away better actors for the sake of looking a bit more diverse is a bit shocking in my opinion, and is the day the show starts to go downhill.

I think it would be cool to have like a spin off movie series, that interconnects with Doctor Who, like how Marvels Agents of SHIELD was hugely impacted by the events of Captain America: The Winter Soldier. I think that'd be cool, or even vice versa; like a big cliffhanger from the end of the series leads into the movie. Or stuff that happens in the series changes the direction of the movies. It'd take a lot of effort, but I think it'd be great.

They did update it well I agree. As for the other article, you can comment on it now if you still want to. :)

@MWTV @FitzSimmonsWouldn't the BBC be a bit whizzed off if you spoil it for thousands of people? After all the stuff about spoilers earlier this year, closing the comments section and putting messages telling people not to post spoilers, I doubt even you would! I don't know you, but you don't strike me as a hypocrite. :)

I feel like we're being led a merry dance here. Would MWTV really basically reveal key points like this?
I hope it has the TARDIS! It'd be amazing to step into the TARDIS, with all its bigger on the inside glory, even in a game! :D

I really hope Capaldi's series lives up to the billing. It'll either be as good as they say, or an utter flop!

10/10 for Journey? I personally agree but I'm dreading the comments that could be about to come! I love Journey though, it's brilliant!

I'll give it a chance but this all just doesn't sound like my cup of tea to be honest. And I'll be sad if I don't like it because I really want to like it!
9 months ago on Capaldi was Adamant About No Flirting in Series 8
I can't seeing him being that much darker than Eleven got. I just think he'll be a bit more no nonsense, straight shooting. Plus, you can't get much darker than visiting your own grave and having your entire life rewritten, twice! Series 6 was apparently going to be very dark, and then even that wasn't that dark. I just think all of this is being done to build the hype for Capaldi's Doctor, and while he may be a bit more serious and dark, I can't see the show becoming too dark, because, judging by what others seem to be expecting, it won't be Doctor Who anymore, it'll just be some epically dark, gritty drama with a sci fi twist, and to me, wouldn't be Doctor Who. (This is all my opinion by the way, just in case you didn't know!)

@The Genie @FitzSimmonsI'm not saying everyone has to be as optimistic as me. I'm trying to say that if someone wants to be optimistic, then they have very right too. But I also agree with you that people who aren't as optimistic as me shouldn't be slaughtered for it. I feel like we're both say the same thing really. I personally just think that everyone should be allowed to form their own judgements and opinions whenever they so choose, be it positive or negative, and no one has the right to say that they should be more cautious or optimistic because that's what they believe. Like I say I feel like we're putting across similar points of view in the way that we both feel that everyone is entitled to their own opinions, except we're just defending the two different sides!

@The Genie @FitzSimmons I haven't shot anyone down for their opinions. I'm not that sort of person. All I was saying was that I disagreed with you saying people shouldn't form their own conclusions, they have every right to. If they're wrong, they're wrong and they'll live with it. But for this moment, they are confident about the new Doctor and are happy he's at the helm. Not everyone has to be as cautious as you, I'm not saying that's what you said, but that's what's coming across.
@The Genie Such a buzzkill. Let people be optimistic, and just enjoy the pre series joy. Plus, to me, Series 7B was the best Series so! :)
He certainly talks a good game. I love Moffat's writing, and I love cliffhangers, what could possibly go wrong? I hope I don't see it coming, I love being surprised by TV shows, like I was quite a few times in Agents of SHIELD's first series!

While I do love The Power of Three and think it is a brilliant episode, I think it is the weakest in Amy and Rory's final run of episodes. I love the scene where Rory confronts the Doctor, saying "what you do isn't all there is". It really shows how great a character Rory is, never afraid to confront the Doctor, plus he wants to have his own life as well, he was never that fussed about travelling with the Doctor, but he did because Amy did. He loved the idea of settling down with Amy and having a quiet life, and that's one of the reasons I love his character, plus he's hilarious too! On a quick side note; why do my comments always take forever to become visible and have pending in the top corner?

I love the bromance between the Doctor and Wilf, the best thing about this episode in my opinion! XD

The brave Doctor from Gallifrey
Saves us all every single day.
When Riley appears the ladies swoon,
But the Doctor fights him with a spoon.
Yes, brave Sir Doctor stands up tall
And gallantly he beats them all.
Bravely taking to his feet,
And never considers a swift retreat.
Bravest of the braaaave, the Doctor!
I don't know where that came from. The actual song popped into my head so I though I'd keep myself busy aha! I've never done anything like this before but I'm quite proud of it! XD I love the little twirl he does, and the fact that me just has a spoon on him, as you do. Anyway, I'm really excited for the Twelfth Doctor, the show is in good hands with Peter Capaldi; a bold and brilliant casting.

I love Clara; she's far and away my favourite
companion, Jenna plays her beautifully. She lights up the screen when she
appears. She was brilliant with Matt Smith and the Eleventh Doctor, they had
amazing chemistry. The day Jenna leaves the show is a sad day for me, I think
she's one of the best actresses we've ever had on the show. Plus, she's easy on
the eyes too ;) I love Clara because she's funny, strong willed, independent,
brave, confident but also has clear vulnerabilities that make her a real, relatable
character. She can also be stubborn which makes for good humour in her banter
with the Eleventh Doctor XD She's a really relatable character that you (well
I) can look up to and identify with. I hope she's still with us beyond series
8. We're so lucky to have such a talented young actress contributing to this
great show. I love all of Clara's scenes, but I really love the scenes where
she's bickering with the Eleventh Doctor, they were so funny together! XD Clara's awesome, Jenna's awesome, long may they both continue! Happy Birthday Jenna!!!!!!!! =D
