@kanoneyez @JQuest81 If you get paid for something you are a professional, by definition. You dont have to be good at it
Wonder how many people they hire to keep their phones at the top of the "best lists" on every web site in world. we all know they do that too.
What a piece of shit company
This is an advantage to the consumer. Once their contract is up they can go sign with another carrier and get even better prices. I fear this is just a small step in a bigger, less customer service friendly, plan for VZW
slow to respond
It doesnt have to factual or logical consumers will believe anything nowadays. If its on TV or the interwebz it must be true
Its FAR BETTER than the contracted plans BUT the consumers need to educated so they will understand this. I have always brought my own unlocked phone BUT still have to pay the higher monthly. I cant wait for this to happen I will be switching to TMO if the plans are priced right.
I think you're preaching to the choir asking your readers We are all phone geeks thats why we read your site. I would expect this to be wildly applauded by the geeky phone crowd
In the end the conumers will be paying all the legal fees on both sides
outside of the US there are still plenty of 3.5 in screen This COULD BE a 3.5 screen.
BTW there is NO WAY it transfers a video that fast
Do other people realize that S Beam is Just android bean renamed? EVERY NFC ICS or above phone has Android Beam and can do everything S beam can since its the same thing with a different name.
Sadly I know the answer is NO most Reps I talk to on a daily basis have no idea what Android Beam is. 80% dont even know what S Beam is.
The carriers have far too much power over all the manufacturers. Makers cant offer features, accessories or updates without going through and/or paying the carriers. Its not just VZW its all of them. One of the reason we dont see updates as fast as Europe is the carriers have to test the updates with all their crapware on it. They charge to go through that process, and they do it on their own time.
While I love to see Motorola stand up to Verizon it will only hurt their own business. There are 10 other manufacturers that are ready to bend over for Verizon that the carriers will just choose a partner that will do what they want, when they want and for how much they want.
will this be the first phone to get a quad core to work with ATTs LTE ?
how about we just release a phone with no overlay and use just vanilla Android. Let the users decide what they want their phone to look like and how it operates
back in the day before the interwebz we actually HAD to SELL phones. It was common practice to qualify the customer and make sure they are getting exactly what they NEED. Now I have notices most reps to have the ability to properly qualify a customer or go through the steps of a sale. Its is a lost art at most corporate stores. The agents do a better job of it because they are paid on Gross profit and not just an opportunity.
If the carriers really want to make some money go back to paying a low base with a higher commission for more profitable device and a higher commission on accessories. The bottomline will go up employees will stay longer because they are making more money and everyone will be happier.
Adout time ATT something to become more profitable
looking forward to a comparison of the HTC One X, SONY ion and Sammy S3. All should be available soon right?
Dima I am sure if it were up to SONY their full line up would be in the US. You know hard it is to deal with the carriers on these issues.
I dream of the day we dont have carrier branded devices and we can buy and use what we want with whatever service we want. I fear that day will not come in my lifetime
Using one now its a GREAT device !! Easily the best device I have ever used.Front facing HD camera is AMAZING !!!
95% of the consumer doessnt care. They have what they have and they are happy. Once the consumer DEMAND more from the carriers then MAYBE the carriers start to listen. People are just too complacent with everything in their lives to care about their phones.
The carrier dont care to update older devices as it cost them upgrades to the newer devices. Why upgrade the SII when the SIII is right around the corner and you get a new contract out the existing customer for the newer OS?
