As an S2000 owner myself, it really kills me to see one slammed to the point that it is essentially not drivable at that ride height and spring rates. But the color and wheel choice works very well in this case.

Very different from my own car, and very different intended uses, but looks good to me. That said. Start featuring more dedicated touge cars please. There are many excellent S2000s out there in that category (wink wink).

Excellent photos Dino!

Thanks for going into such great detail on this one Dino. Very much appreciated. Love cars like this that are just built for the pure joy of it. Brilliant work Kakimoto!

Very interesting run 500lb springs in the front and 1300 in the rear. Such a big stagger. Man I would love to watch an onboard of this car.

So to put it simply.. "Would You Feel Differently About Snowden, Greenwald, and Assange If You Knew What They Really Thought?"

No. Because nothing that Snowden, Greenwald, or Assange has done or said has anything to do with the crimes the NSA has committed against the world.

Even if this article were fact checked it still wouldn't be convincing. I am not concerned if I agree with everything Snowden, Greenwald, and Assange have ever done or said, I am concerned that the NSA has designed systems that are so far reaching they are impossible to regulate. They have built tools (and forced others to do so) that are insecure by design and in doing so they have seriously compromised any chance of privacy for people all around the world, not just in the United States.

Thunderhill West really is going to be something special I think. Shaping up to be a better "touge simulator" than most tracks. :) Someone needs to organize a special 2-day Norcal vs. Socal time attack event starting at Buttonwillow for the 1st day and at Thunderhill the next.

I have to say, this car's aero definitely looks more DTM than SuperGT. The HSV-010 is still the coolest racing car ever built in my opinion, but this is definitely exciting!

Luckily none of what you are saying is actually true. SuperGT has been doing a great job keeping the racing very balanced over the years compared to other series. It is great to see them opening up the rules a bit more to different designs and configurations.

I love that Lamborghini has a proper "fuck off" attitude at the moment. Bring on the crazy shit I say. Car design needs a company like Lambo doing properly crazy stuff like this. Of course people won't like it, but those people aren't designing cars are they? Those people likely aren't doing anything interesting at all are they? ;)

Bring on the crazy Lambo, don't worry about the dweebs on the internet.

@sean klingelhoefer  I meant to clarify more on "He is a driver". So many people these days are just "car guys", driving is a completely foreign thing to them. These are the guys you spend most of their time building replica track cars that are actually just show cars that get parked at meets, they eventually run out of ideas, sell the car, and start all over again. Then their are "drivers", you can put any car in front of them, and they will have fun with it. Plain and simple.

Be a driver.

@sean klingelhoefer  @KeithCharvonia Ken is one of the very few drivers that is truly in it for the right reasons. He is a driver in it for the love of driving, plain and simple. He has also come up with a much better method of sustaining a very unsustainable involvement in motorsport, not to mention putting his money where is mouth is to put himself where he is now.

Thanks Sean for the great photos and write up, and big thanks to Ken for everything you do! Now bring a WRC event to Northern California and I will truly be happy! The Santa Cruz mountains are begging for a WRC event! :D

@Jonathan Moore  @Jezza k I was super confused by this too! I knew it wasn't actually the Brawn car, because that thing is a work of art, and that "Mercedes" is some hideous mis match of old and new.

You DO get a "third pedal"! You can grab both paddles to disengage the clutch. And you have the option to shift in the proper direction with the stick so really can't complain.

Also, those wheels are absolutely GORGEOUS.

Awesome Sean! Can't wait for all the Type One goodness! Make us Honda nerds proud!

I went to Type One right before they released their S2000 widebody aero and got a sneak peak while I was there, and got to meet all the mechanics and Ichishima-san and his wife. All fantastic people, it really bums me out to see how happy people are to buy replicas in the U.S. and completely take advantage of the hard work the small team at Spoon and Type One put in everyday.

I have been drooling over the Type One blog for years.
