CLAP HANDS.
I love that Lamborghini has a proper "fuck off" attitude at the moment. Bring on the crazy shit I say. Car design needs a company like Lambo doing properly crazy stuff like this. Of course people won't like it, but those people aren't designing cars are they? Those people likely aren't doing anything interesting at all are they? ;)
Bring on the crazy Lambo, don't worry about the dweebs on the internet.
So great! I wish I could find events like this in the U.S.
I am so sick of show cars masquerading around like they are track cars...
Great article Taryn! Very very jealous!
That first B&W image is one of the best photos ever posted on Speedhunters. It's perfect.
@sean klingelhoefer I meant to clarify more on "He is a driver". So many people these days are just "car guys", driving is a completely foreign thing to them. These are the guys you spend most of their time building replica track cars that are actually just show cars that get parked at meets, they eventually run out of ideas, sell the car, and start all over again. Then their are "drivers", you can put any car in front of them, and they will have fun with it. Plain and simple.
Be a driver.
@sean klingelhoefer @KeithCharvonia Ken is one of the very few drivers that is truly in it for the right reasons. He is a driver in it for the love of driving, plain and simple. He has also come up with a much better method of sustaining a very unsustainable involvement in motorsport, not to mention putting his money where is mouth is to put himself where he is now.
Thanks Sean for the great photos and write up, and big thanks to Ken for everything you do! Now bring a WRC event to Northern California and I will truly be happy! The Santa Cruz mountains are begging for a WRC event! :D
@Jonathan Moore @Jezza k I was super confused by this too! I knew it wasn't actually the Brawn car, because that thing is a work of art, and that "Mercedes" is some hideous mis match of old and new.
WTF is that thing?
Just thinking. It really is rare to see photos like these of Nascar. As mentioned in the article, all the photos seem to be the generic ones you get from those guys with marked off spots to shoot from.
Great article Sean! Completely agree with everything you said in this article. Being someone that is much more of a circuit racing fan, there is no denying how awesome Nascar can be.
People who don't have an open mind are bitches.
Great photos.
I prefer these articles so much over car features. Love it when the focus is brought back to people who enjoy driving, and not just people who enjoy cars.
You DO get a "third pedal"! You can grab both paddles to disengage the clutch. And you have the option to shift in the proper direction with the stick so really can't complain.
Also, those wheels are absolutely GORGEOUS.
All these people that are bitching and probably never have and probably never will drive this car.... shut. up.
FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF UUUUUUUUUUU! I love FF mini-theme!
Fantastic, things for getting into all the details!
Great coverage Sean! Can't wait to go back to Type One!
Great article Larry!
