@untogether I would have nothing to lose if uber was banned. Absolutely. One thing I would gain, is a piece of mind knowing there are no "hustlers" in the city littering the streets, pretending they are actual limos. Not only do I own a car service, I am a frequent traveler and use car services myself. So please, before you speak understand my concerns.

Uber does not impede my life, I don't know why you think that - however rest assured I am not the only one out there who agrees to BAN UBER from major cities. People like myself are what Uber rely on to pickup it's clients. Unless Uber bought their own cars (WHICH THEY WONT), and file as a transportation company (WHICH THEY WONT), than they should refrain from being in the business.
If they want to make $$ off people using other companies than I would expect them to treat people like customers - not a mobile object.
PS - did you know that they don't check insurance & licensing?? I was able to add cars without getting them visually inspected - that should be a big -NO NO- to a company such as themselves.
Why not comply with the rules and shut down? I don't trust Uber in San Francisco - your driver stole my cell phone and you guys told me to deal with it! I am all about Banning UBER!
I don't drive for Uber but can definitley relate to this story. The confessions of a professional limo driver is beyond the stories you will hear from anyone. Talk about not only tech world people but worldwide leaders, legends, fortune 500, VC's and thousands of different types of people speaking of what they are doing. It's almost like our jobs is to drive around the world movers. It's a lot of detail fun :)
