A&M isn't going to want to play in any neutral site games until their Arkansas contract at Jerry World is up.
dont forget that he threatened to end the series in 2010 when it looked like 4 B12 teams would join the Pac b/c A&M wanted to be in the SEC or stay put. It was basically a if you don't follow us we will dump you thing.
Manziel has said in the past that he is on friendly terms with Mariota
those dudes are legit. you just dont see all the times they attempt the shots and miss. its no different than being a kid trying to make a full court shot at the gym. you'll miss 50 of them but eventually you'll hit 1.
“I just heard that before I came here, which will be awesome. They might finally win one. Everyone tells me he won three and I lost two.”
couple that with his anti SEC comments from when Urban hacked him off over recruiting and the guy starts to come off like a bit of a cry baby.
I have to disagree with the idea Petrino is worth the risk. He is a good coach but he leaves nothing but lies and deceit in his wake. There are other good coaches that can be had. Petrino does not deserve another SEC job ever again because its proven he will screw over his employer at some point. Too bad so sad for him.
20 teams would make for 9 game division slates with no cross over games. May as well go to a 12 game SEC schedule if that happens.
one could argue it makes sense in that ESPN is still desperately trying to get all cable and satellite carriers in Texas to pick up LHN. Only a few in the state have it in any form let alone on the basic tiers ESPN demands. LSU/A&M would have crushed the Texas/Baylor ratings which in turn would give C/S companies more ammunition to say ESPN's high carriage fee demands aren't worth it.
not saying that theory is a fact but it is certainly plausible
the only thing I can think of is maybe some Ole Miss admin people got a little upset at all the Gatorade being thrown around everywhere and he doesn't want it to seem like A&M trashes locker rooms after wins. Other than that, which I admit is a reach, I've got nothing.
would rather have 8 league games and just set up deals with the ACC, Big 10, and Big 12 to all schedule eachother.
if Saban was truly concerned about safety he wouldnt be scheduling hopelessly over-matched FCS teams for his 300 pound monster o-line/defenses to beat up on.
I wouldnt compare Maddow to Rush. She is a lefty for sure but she doesn't make garbage up like him. She is more like a lefty Bill O'Reilly. The MSNBC equivalent of Rush would be the loudmouthed gasbag known as Ed Shultz.
I dunno. I much prefer night games in August, September, and early October down here in Texas. Its much better for everyone at the game to not have to deal with 100 degree heat for 4 hours.
does this mean the SEC is going to sever its relationship with CBS?
not blurb for Texas A&M at SMU? :-(
That song was written by Texas country legend Robert Earl Keen Jr. He went to Texas A&M and Lyle Lovett was his roommate.
A bowl draft is a great idea and is far better than the system we have now where we often end up with junk games like a 9-3 team playing a 6-6 squad.
while they aren't Southern and would probably stick their nose up at the very idea, Notre Dame in the SEC would be a massive coup. Suddenly the new SEC Network would pretty much be guaranteed to be picked up nationally in basic cable packages. Of course it would never happen.
that 12th Man logo will only appear on the arm of the player designated as the 12th Man.
blech to a La Tech who won 8 games, smashed Ole Miss, took MSU to OT, lost by a total of 3 points to Houston and Southern Miss, and nearly beat TCU in their bowl game? Ok....
