I think the 2012 baseball season might have officially murdered my passion for the Dodgers, because this is pretty much the best news ever and I couldn't care less.
Isn't A.J. Ellis the logical successor to Tebow and Jeremy Lin? Tebow: good Christian guy succeeds against all odds because of heart/determination/possibly mysticism while overcoming his lack of raw talent, succeeding in a league where he should not be succeeding. Lin: guy who was on absolutely NOBODY'S radar, ends up taking NBA by storm, overcomes racial and personal obstacles to succeed in a league where he should not be succeeding. Ellis: lifetime minor leaguer, real-life Crash Davis, at one point was behind Dioner Navarro AND Russell Martin AND Carlos Santana on the Dodger organizational depth chart (all three of whom were future All-Stars), is currently succeeding in a league where he should not be succeeding. I don't know, just seems like the media could (and should) be having a field day with him.
So when are we trading Kemp for Gary Sheffield?
