Yea...I can tell; it shows in the standings. There is another positive; those Big 12 rejects in Columbia don't have to play them anymore
Mizzou ranked above Kentucky? That even looks funny.
Mizzou is in for a long season...
Both Florida and Georgia adjusted real well to the "hurry up" offenses characteristic of the Big 12; call an injury time out for a cramp giving time to rest and get set so you're not caught off balance...thus disrupting A&M and Mizzou's rhythm...
What's the issue here? Both coaches made decisions consistent with the class and integrity of their respective conferences...
Sounds like Spurrier...he said Mizzou had nice teams in the past; yea...they beat florida when Spurrier was quarterback 20-18 in the 1966 Sugar Bowl and then Mizzou beat his Gamecocks 38-31 in the 2005 Independence bowl...
O.K. Let's keep it real. For what ever reason; luck, accident, etc.. A very mediocre Missouri football program that hasn't won a Big 8 or Big 12 championship has 17 wins and only 8 losses against the SEC including winning 2 out of three against Bama, and one up on LSU... The SEC has alot of catching up to do before they start running their mouth...
Oh...that's right, my bad. Forgive me for failing to recognize that Oklahoma, Nebraska, and Texas would be bottom dwellers in the SEC. What are your favorite post SEC - Big 12 Matchups....It's a toss up between Nebraska 62 to 24 Fiesta Bowl win over Florida; or Nebraska's 42 to 17 win over Tennessee in the 1997 Orange Bowl; oh ya..Nebraska beat them again in 1999 Fiesta, what 31-21. Then again... Mizzou's 38-7 rout over Arkansas is an honorable mention.
You would think that mighty SEC could at least keep the games close...How bout that SEC!!!!
Mizzou has 17 wins and only 8 losses against the SEC... Glad to see the conference matchups between SEC and Big 12, as the SEC has been ducking the Big 12 (Old Big 8) from the Bryant era....in fact, the SEC ducked Oklahoma State last year.....
@JohnVol I don't think JohnVol wants to take a trip down memory road with SEC and old Big 12 matchups. Ask him how TENN did against Nebraska their last two meetings; or ask Peyton Manning. The SEC just added a very mediocre team in Missouri; who has never come close to winning the Big 12; and yet they have18 wins 9 losses, and one tie against the SEC.
The truth is: the SEC has been ducking the big 12 (old big 8) sense " teddy bear bryant was run out of the gator bowl 35-10 in 1968, and run out of legion field 20-7 in 1975 by ole "mediocre Mizzou:... And the SEC psychosis continues....
Oh....like the SEC-ESPN-BCS cronies ducking Justin Blackmon and Oklahoma State last year with that mythical national championship rematch of LSU and Alabama.....
@KC Tiger KC Tiger, I lived in the deep south for over 20 years; you can't imagine the jocularity and disdain they have for mid-west football. On the contrary, I don't want to "I told you so" in a few years. I would rather hang Missouri's record of 17 wins 8 losses, and 1 tie vs the SEC around their necks; and leave it at that.
This conference move for Mizzou is ridiculous; what, because the president of the SEC and a Missouri lawyer practiced law together once upon a time....Mizzou''s record against the SEC in football is very impressive; guess SEC advocates want to level the wins/loses record about 10 games. This is a poor conference fit...
