Liking what I'm seeing. Westbrook dishing the ball well, the offense is percolating

@MisterJohnsonOKC  @K-Dagger Daniel Plainview Ya I respect Perk too. I'm not saying he is a terrible player or anything. I just question how much having him wounded out there really hurt us. Collison was eating the Heat up at times. Yet seen no floor time because Perk was out there so much

@MisterJohnsonOKC  @K-Dagger Daniel Plainview No doubt. Which to me screams why was he even out there against the Spurs and the Heat. Lakers I can see using him in dire situations.

@K-Dagger Daniel Plainview Even with Perkins on the floor against LA their bigs worked us over pretty good. I'm sure it would have been a lot worse without him but Bynum and Gasol had a fairly decent series. It's not like eh shut either of them down

@Marty_McFly321 Cole performed very well for the Heat in his rookie season. Even got some good playing time in the Finals.

His potential is very high. Can't ask for much more from a 28th pick really.  Can't believe he fell that far. Presti was licking his chops i'm sure.

This guy is an animal. Never would have thought he would fall this far back. Big time pick by the Thunder. He fell really far back and I feel he will come out to prove a lot of people wrong. Could be special for us.

My prediction is someway somehow Presti will end up with Cousins from MSU for his first pick. I don't know how it's going down. But I think Presti is going to pick him

@bmuelle21 I agree. While I trust Presti 100% and I'm sure he knows what he is going to do already. I don't want to get rid of Harden. He struggled in the Finals. But we played with the Heat with our "Big 2" imagine if Harden would have been Harden for that series.

2 years, 4 months ago on Thunder have talked about moving up to get Bradley Beal

I hope no moves are made. I don't want to get rid of Harden. I like our team just the way it is. We lost to Miami for many reasons. Lack of talent was not one of them. If Harden demands more than we can pay him then sure trade him. But he has expressed he wants to stay in OKC. We need to keep him if at all possible.

Young team, young coach, a whole lot of talent, and a whole lot of athleticism. Let's not criticize, they will come back better next year and be ready for that situation if it comes again.

@tydude That was actually the first time I agree with Brooks. Get Perkins out of there and Collison in there, Collison was giving us a LOT more than Perkins did the entire series.

Never counting my Thunder out. They got one more chance to win a game in Miami. If they can win it and bring this series back to OKC anything can happen. 1 win at a time and we can write history. We CAN beat this team. We are playing really bad and still in these games. We still got a shot at this. I am thankful for the format being the way it is right now because if we get 1 win in Miami it will work out greatly to our advantage to have the last two games at home

@C-Wil We haven't ran out of adjustments. We just have to use our heads better. We can't keep a guy like Collison on the bench half the game when he came out so strong and good early. You got to ride the hot hand. That's what the Heat are doing. Battier and Chalmers have saved their bacon. Unfortunately Collison might have saves ours...but we will never know.

There is still a lot of things we can do. We just aren't doing them

@ThunderBelize  @Lost Ones Whatever they have to do to keep Durant from getting in foul trouble is what I'm all for. If he has to stand around guarding Battier I don't care. As long as he don't get in foul trouble.

@FF_pickups  @Lost Ones To an extent. But he can sit outside and knock down 3's too. He has just been struggling all the way around. And maybe he is not ready for this stage. But for Lowe to say it's because he only faces 2nd team units was bogus I thought.

2 years, 4 months ago on Tuesday Bolts – 6.19.12

@FF_pickups He did. And I will not say for a minute that Harden isn't struggling. Because he is. But one or two games doesn't define a player. He was a key ingredient to our success. And to downplay that is a slap in the face no matter how you look at it. Harden has went up against some of the best in the playoffs getting to this point. And performed very well

2 years, 4 months ago on Tuesday Bolts – 6.19.12

I don't buy that comment from Zache Lowe. If I'm Harden I take that as a slap in the face. Harden straight up took Dallas' starting unit to school. That wasn't very fair of Lowe to say

@Old Man Game I agree. We aren't getting many steals and fast break buckets. This needs to change tonight. And I expect it will. Intensity should be through the roof for our guys. Hoping Sefoloshia has about 4 or 5 steals and Westbrook has 3 or 4 himself. Maybe even a couple for Collison and Durant.

@ThunderBelize The thing people don't take into count with foul trouble is the other team attacks that player more. Especially a veteran team. You can say put Durant on Battier, but even Battier knows to go at Durant when he has 5 fouls. It's just asking to get Durant bounced out early

@ThunderBelize I was thinking exactly what you said in the last line while I was reading this post lol it was bonehead mistakes that let them back in it.

On sitting KD, I always sit a superstar in foul trouble. You have too. If you lose him early in a game due to fouls your are criticized even worse. And like I said before KD wasn't exactly playing smart while he was in foul trouble. He was really aggressive.

One thing that bothers me is the lack of offense the Thunder run. We all know and have heard this time and time again, but when they rallied against the Spurs I seen a resemblance of an offense. Dishing to guys with wide open looks. What I see against the Heat is Westbrook dribbling the ball at the top of the key waiting for Durant to flash open. And if that doesn't happen within 10 seconds we rush the shot. We are not playing any kind of team basketball right now.

@kdub Mine is 9 I am all but guaranteeing a win in game 5. I am patiently sitting back waiting for the Heat to implode while KD Harden and Russ step up and play like they should. No more stupid fouls, better FT shooting, better shooting from the field, and this series isn't even close.

@KoolKeith3000 Thunder do need to attack more. Maybe put them in our shoes for a change. Have all their guys in foul trouble and on the bench.

@Koka_Da_Bauce  @Lost Ones Well of course your not going to be confident with it against a starting lineup that's in the Finals lol but for a second unit coming onto the floor there isn't many better than that in the entire NBA. Those guys are capable of playing very well they just aren't.

How many times have we seen Harden/Collison tear a team up. Or Ibaka floating the baseline. That lineup can score with a lot of teams. Are they better? Of course not, but when you can't keep your star on the floor because of foul trouble and your hot headed PG is all over the place what can ya do?

2 years, 4 months ago on 3-on-3: Tense and tight

Reply

@Lost Ones  @Koka_Da_Bauce Ya that got me too. But when Westbrook is in self destruct mode what do you do? I feel confident that Collison/Harden/Fisher/Ibaka/Perkins can get points and some stops. That's a really good second line up fellas. The problem is Harden is struggling and he runs that show.

2 years, 4 months ago on 3-on-3: Tense and tight

@kdub Ya there hasn't really been much to be excited about. Lebron has done nothing as far as slowing down KD. It's the guys in the striped shirts shutting Durant down.

If Durant stays in and gets his 5th foul with 10 minutes to play in the 4th we are all screaming at Brooks. It's a damned if you do damned if you don't scenario. I would rather ensure myself of having Durant at the end of the game to make the tough shots then I would him sitting on the bench fouled out.

Durant has shown me he is not smart enough yet to play with foul trouble. He is competitive and it's in his nature to compete. But he has to be smarter with 3 fouls. Going up Haslems back for a rebound isn't what I call smart basketball in foul trouble. Sitting in front of Lebron to take a charge? You got to just get out of his way and let him make the dunk. He is going to get the call 90% of the time and everyone knows that.

@criznazy53 It's hard to get away from the media in the Finals. Our guys aren't comfortable with it but there is nothing you can do about it. They probably have reporters waiting outside their hotel room for them to open the door and bombard them

@f5alcon  @leighj Just looking at what Westbrook and Harden can become, I think I would rather have them anyways. Harden is only in what his 2nd year? And there is talk about him being a max guy already? Not that he is deserving of one yet but there is talk about it. I think we will look back at this Thunder team a few years down the road and it will look like an all star team. I just think it's a little early in some of the players career to see it now.

I see Ibaka, Harden and Westbrook being perennial all stars along side Durant on a different team.

@D@nny  @Lost Ones Brooks seems to have lost his team? lol there is a big difference between the Orlando Magic and the Thunder. Jeff Van Gundy lost his team....is that what we think of Brooks after a couple losses? Sure the guy could be a better coach. But he found a way against the Spurs, give him a chance to find a way against the Heat.

@C-Wil  @VAThunder Lebron always hesitates to shoot the outside shot. That's why he isn't very good at it. He is always looking to pass from that spot. His FG % is high because all his buckets come on layups. I have no problem with Ibaka guarding Lebron and giving him room to shoot. Lebron is not a great pure shooter. Make him beat us.

2 years, 4 months ago on 3-on-3: Tense and tight

@VAThunder  @Lost Ones  @C-Wil Exactly. Durant is working on his defensive game, but we have to realize he isn't there yet. And to cover someone like Lebron is just killing his offense. Put him on someone easy and let him take it to them on offense.

2 years, 4 months ago on 3-on-3: Tense and tight

Reply

@VAThunder  @Lost Ones  @C-Wil Ya he had 2 early fouls in the first quarter, sad part was he didn't enter the game until 8 minutes left to play. We are just getting bounced out of the game because we can't play ball. It's that simple folks. We got our match ups we like but when they are all in foul trouble it doesn't do us any good.

2 years, 4 months ago on 3-on-3: Tense and tight

Reply

@C-Wil  @VAThunder Couldn't agree more. Even in game 2 when he was in trouble he would attack the basket and pull up short because he didn't want to get a charging foul. He would get caught in between the two and miss the shot. Completely messing with his offensive game.
