@TellMyWifeISaidHello @ tomato Joc can also play defense.
@DBrim You think Seager can't exceed 3 wins if he hits his upside? That seems pessimistic on his upside.
@mostly exciting potato @Sugar-Free Generic Grape Soda Besides the fact that it appears Arenado:
1) Doesn't get on base;
2) Doesn't hit well out of Coors;
3) Doesn't hit RHP well;
Seager has a legitimate chance to play short at a high level and an MVP ceiling bat. So yeah, let's do that.
@mostly exciting potato I've never seen such insane overvaluation of known commodities in mine.
@TheConman @TellMyWifeISaidHello @mostly exciting potato The foolish potato
@ tomato @I Digesti @mostly exciting potato @TellMyWifeISaidHello @Sugar-Free Generic Grape Soda Horribly so. .662 OPS. Plus, he sucks against RHP.
@ tomato @I Digesti Hella = Giants fan
Cali = a city in Colombia.
@mostly exciting potato @TellMyWifeISaidHello @Sugar-Free Generic Grape Soda Or you can take the proven commodity who can't get on base and also has a problem getting hurt.
@Sugar-Free Generic Grape Soda Absolutely not.
You carry no credibility if you use either of the two non-words:
@mostly exciting potato @I Digesti @ tomato He did? I think he did it like a good player. Like he did last year (when he was healthy). Like he didn't do nearly as well this year. You know, there is a pretty good change that Harper ends up being Andre Ethier.
@TellMyWifeISaidHello @Anime Ethier @YadierMolinasOedipalComplex Hanley probably fields it better than Lowrie.
@mostly exciting potato @ tomato Except that you are still ignoring the fact that Harper has had 3 years to mature into his role and hasn't yet. I mean, its not like he has to grow into his power - the power was there where he was 15. Early career Andre Ethier was better than Harper is so far. Will that change? Maybe. However, don't act like Harper is just coming up and learning on the job. HE'S HAD THREE ACTUAL FUCKING YEARS.
@mostly exciting potato Stanton and Kemp.
@mostly exciting potato @I Digesti He's had 3 years in the majors to mature into it - still hasn't become anything beyond a good player. Trout took 1. Kemp was better than Harper at 22. He was better than him over his first 3 years as well.
WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK ARE YOU IGNORING?
@mostly exciting potato @I Digesti @Tymathee That was one injury. Look at his history. Big guy injuries, and he's still young. What happens in 2-3 years?
@mostly exciting potato @Tymathee @I Digesti Yes. He had two freak injuries. Before that, he was the reigning iron man.
@mostly exciting potato @I Digesti Bryce Harper had a .768 OPS this year and hasn't cracked .854 in his career. His OBP and AVG are pretty middling. His defense grades MAYBE average, and he is definitely not a CFer. Sorry, but he hasn't translated talent to results, and has had quite a bit of time to do it. Plus, he runs into walls constantly.
Stanton is a closer call, but still has a bad injury history and is one of those very large players who are injury prone (didn't Mike or Chad do a post on this a couple years ago?). Yes, his bat has evolved quite well, and his defense is currently quite decent. Will it be in a few years when he slows down?
@capnsparrow @I Digesti @DodgerDodger @mostly exciting potato He should play RF for the rest of his career
@DodgerDodger @mostly exciting potato Kemp is just fine in RF. One of the best arms in baseball and he has range.
@mostly exciting potato @I Digesti In what way is Harper "arguably" better? He is an incredibly injury prone player who has loads of talent that hasn't panned out in 3 years in the bigs. Stanton is an ever improving beast, though he still hasn't maintained a clean bill. Once Kemp fully healed from his 2 freak accident injuries, he ended up destroying worlds.
@Bay_of_Puigs @TellMyWifeISaidHello @DodgerDodger Probably as the 5th starter
@DodgerDodger Zanky is better than Lester
@mostly exciting potato Harper still hasn't really proved himself, and Stanton has never had the kind of healthy streak that Kemp started his career with.
And hella is for Giants fans.
@DodgerDodger @InsideThePark Did you see Turner's BABIP? I don't doubt Turner can be a productive hitter. He is not going to challenge for a batting title.
@DodgerDodger I'm thinking Turner actually has more trade value than Uribe. Plus, I'd much rather keep him around - he keeps Puig happy.
@Sad Towel Then join my bring back Russell Martin campaign.
@finleysgrandslam @DodgerDodger Satan aka Matt Carpenter.
@DodgerDawg That was funny, though I'd love to be able to keep Barney for our bench.
@InsideThePark Some people still put the extra u. I even saw Puig do that.
@capnsparrow Uh - I'd much rather have Puig than Harper or Stanton and would rather have Kemp than Harper and probably than Stanton as well.
Also, what about Kimbrel in that mythical pen? Further, I'd much rather have Ryu than Cueto.
@ABSmileBunch @mostly exciting potato He never made it past Vero. Dominated in 4 starts at 17 at Great Falls. Missed 3 years. Was mediocre in 3 starts in Vero and disappeared.
Andrew Friedman - Shah of Sunset (and Elysian Park Avenue). Yay!

@YadierMolinasOedipalComplex Sign Martin. Gordon for a couple arms.
@P_F_P Dan Evans was the best of that GM lot.
1 week, 2 days ago on Welcome To Town, Andrew Friedman
I'm really hoping this means we get Martin.
Yes. It reduces by the amount of salary you are not paying

It's because he flopped for the Wanks, who get all the press

Lineup protection is overrated
Well, it is 2:50.
2 weeks, 5 days ago on Dodgers 3, Cardinals 2: This Sport Is Bad For Your Health
Dude, we'll Fuck them up. Their cadre of medium-soft tossers matches up in the best possible way for our lineup
Dude. I'm the Iron Fucking Sheik. Don't mess with my mom :-P
Ha, I'm not the only one who saw that
Why eat a bunch of money for a shit trade of a guy who is as talented as Trout or Puig? He was the best player in baseball for a year and a half and the most durable for like 5 years. Other than having a tool for an agent, he also happened to be a perfect citIzen. His injuries were predictable in their recovery time and there is no question as to the talent of the hitting coach staff.
It was a no brainer, which is good for Ned :-D
Drank went to Berkeley
I feel like Puig is going to tee off in STL
