@Hachiboy @marvis I don't think it's very funny :P the cars look great and the Japanese influence is clear and very welcome, the look was very well executed on some of these cars. Are they just not "legit jdm" enough for you guys? Lmfao.

This is gorgeous. Absolutely gorgeous. I've been considering purchasing an old Benz for a while and seeing one this well built, and with a rad swap, (something I'm planning on since so many of them have blown engines!), is both inspiring and scary. The amount of custom fabrication required looks far beyond my budget and abilities! Still, as long as I keep seeing awesome builds like these pop up, I'll at least know it's possible!

A 4WD Civic. Shuttle. With bull bars. From the factory. AND epic 80's aero disc wheels, made by VOLK, of all people? I think this might be the the coolest thing I've seen in a while! Awesome!!!

@Johnjusto not once was appearance aspect mentioned in the video. This isn't being done for looks whatsoever. It's a step forward in terms of engineering and performance, you might've known that if you'd taken a moment to actually watch the video.

@Brian Mikami @d_rav Woah, your upholstery work is awesome! I've been meaning to find a job in upholstery lately just so that I could restore car interiors if I ever needed to. It's cool to see someone actually doing that!

How sweet! What a touching post. I have to say, from the day I saw a photoset here on SH of Frederic drifting the Supra on what looked like a straight away at a 90+ degree angle, I knew he was pretty special. Congratulations to him, it looks like hard work really does pay off!

@TarmacTerrorist Mr. Atkinson loves the crap out of his F1, he'd rather drive it (a bit spiritedly, it seems) than keep it in his basement, which I think it's pretty neat! Accidents are bound to happen in high powered cars like this when road conditions get bad, and it's hard not to get a bit excited when in a car like this and a beautiful place like that. I don't blame them :P

One of my first racing games was Need for Speed II (Not the special edition!) on the PC. It was a blast! I never quite got the hang of braking before turning (I was that young lol) but you know. My favorite part of the game was actually the car, track, and manufacturer showcases with the man's voice giving us facts and telling stories. It made every car feel important and real, and much more satisfying to drive! The speech about the McLaren F1 still gives me the shivers.

@RodChong  Looking back, that was really, really harsh. I hope I didn't offend anyone, it's just that everything beyond the cars in the whole scene is just really, really not my style and c'mon, this particular scene and style is dominated by this kind of music and fashion. I just want a bit of variety or something.

I have to say, as much as I love all of these cars, especially the Cressida, I simply cannot stand the whole culture involved. I think lowered cars look awesome, I just don't understand why awful fashion sense and terrible music have to be a part of it as well. Kind of hard to admire the detailing on a show car when dissonant, sexist garbage is blasting in your ear three feet away and half the merch at the stand consists of snapbacks.

Woah. What's with the designers at Gumpert? The Apollo looks ancient and pretty lame alongside its spectacular supercar contemporaries, and the Explosion has no shortage of sharp, aggressive lines, but the car's proportions are weird and all it does is manage to look like what's already being offered by other companies, only angrier and less refined. I think Gumpert just needs to polish the Explosion until its design is up to par, then graft that design language onto the Apollo, only kicked up to level 11 so that it actually has a personality. Bam. Gumpert wins, begins to develop a unique, recognizable design language, becomes a contender. Right?

They basically "fixed" the 12C's styling and made the car unmistakably McLaren. I did think the 12C's front was a bit generic, but I've always loved that absolutely space age rear end. It's awesome that they did this, it's like what the MP4 should've been in terms of style all along!
