I too would love to hear this scream! Before I head off to Youtube, let me thank you for the article on this awesome machine, As usual, you're on point. Seeing the words "Not a big budget build" preceded by "Purchased at 16 with an S2000 swap/added a turbo/changed to turbo 13B/ changed again to a custom built 20B" and then followed by a beautiful laundry list of parts and labor that could easily reach 6 figures NZD, AUD, or USD before the decimal point does make me chuckle though. I guess when you're loaded 'Big Budget' is relative. Keep up the good work!
OMG I LOVE IT!
Cool! It looks awesome. So where do I get this body kit for my 458? /sarcasm

Also, it looks like Lambo borrowed a bit from Mazda's concept car, the Furai. Although it was a concept, it still saw more road and track miles than any of these Veneno are likely to see. (and I kinda prefer the Aventador lol)
Idk, it looks cool and all, but if only 3 are made then they'll rarely if ever be driven anywhere. They'll just sit as a collector's pieces in a a garage somewhere and rot, which is kinda sad. They might as well be a diamonds or a bricks of gold instead of cars. I don't know where these are going, but I can guess its an oil rich country somewhere, as they are the only places that waste even more monstrous amounts of money cars than Americans.
I like the design, but I cannot approve of it being called a car since it won't see the road. Sad.
Thanks for the upload. Hopefully everyone will be able to keep their 'toolbag/mouthpiece/etc' hate comments about the driver to themselves and just enjoy the vid or move on. Thanks again.
Within the constraints of this poll I voted NA all day as they say. If power and torque are the same and delivery is the same, then I don't need the extra weight, heat, and complication of forced induction. However, this poll is kinda fairy tale land, as those parameters don't at all exist. Also, as mentioned time and time again in the previous comments, application is extremely, extremely important here. So much so that it cannot be ignored.
Sooooo ridiculously hot. Great job LB
That is absolutely stunning, but why do all of these monster 4 rotor beauties always have to be for drag racing or drift? I'd love to see another time attack or wheel to wheel build. Curran will most likely be building the NA 4 rotor for my Rx7, (Time Attack) and I've got nothing for respect for those guys.
Its crazy how a 15+ year old car still looks so fresh and modern among its juniors. Mazda so hit the nail on the head with the FD.
soooooo much sex...
So the only classic Toyotas in existence are Hatchis and AW11 eh? And the 3rd pic on this "classic Toyota meet" was a Nissan eh?
Are you sure this wasn't a 4ag meetup?
Those 2 7's in front of the Bimmer in one of the last pics looks vicious. Any coverages/pics/vids of them?
@FlatWoodsM 100% agreed Flat. That's a really nice build for spending one's own money on one's own car to take to the track repeatedly to beat on with one's own hands behind one's own wheel. Good write up as well. It'll be quite some time yet before my 7 is that sorted, and I'm willing to bet that a huge mass majority of the nits either don't have a 7, or theirs is still broken/not running. Super stoked for 7 day. Keep up the good work Suzuki san.
Of course Loeb Steamrolled the competition, he's Sebastien freakin' Loeb, 8 time WRC champion (soon to be 9) and lest anyone forgot, a tarmac specialist. Competing in the X Games was kinda like slumming for the fun of it for Loeb, there was no actual chance of anyone (save maaaaybe Marcus Gronholm, another 2 time WRC champion who was unfortunately out with an injury) beating him. That being said I have huge respect for Ken Block. The dirt bike kids are driving because they need the thrill and Rallycross is cool so why not, and teh dorifto boiz are just trying to follow the next trend and continue to earn an income. Ken Block is out there actually trying hard to be a good and successful driver, and that's also part of the reason he crashes so much. Yes he's an entertainer and yes he's got mad sponsorship and is a "walking billboard" and has deep pockets. But here's a not so news flash: that's how racing works. If you don't have sponsors and a huge budget you barely even have a chance to compete, let alone a chance to win. To get that chance, you have to entertain. Anyone that has actually tried a real career in racing understands this painfully well. I hope Ken does a full season in the WRC next year. The experience will really mature him as a driver, and he has potential. To see an American on the WRC podium again would be outstanding after all these years. Congratulations King Loeb, and keep up the good work Mr. Block. I salute you both.
Thanks! That really put my life into perspective! I'm going to go kill myself now.
Of the three the Mazda gets my vote. Why? The Miata has had solid real performance development for decades, and many, many a series to back it up. A coupe version would be awesome, .I'm not a Nissan dorifto fanboy so I don't care too much about a new Silvia. Nissan would be better served bringing us a true small pickup before Toyota does, and that could be slid sideways/backwards into things just fine. The S2000 was an outstanding machine, but Honda has no interest in performance anymore (RWD mind you) and a new S2000 has an even smaller chance of being built than a new Nissan sporty thing.
bravo SH! excellent car and good write up.
