What did you expect? No motorsport driver will say "I do this for the money and the women", because
A) it's probably one of the hardest ways to get profit (like the joke says: What's the easiest way to make a small fortune in motorsports? Start with a big one)
and
B) These guys are pros. They are pros because they have lots of hard work behind them (also luck and sponsorships). And they have lots of hard work because they LOVE doing it. No-one practices doing something enough to make a living out of it (barely) unless they want to do it for fun.
First of all: Catalunya represent!
Second: The article doesn't say it, did you end up seeing the Montjuïc street track? It's a double whammy: old F1 street track AND old Olympic site!
Third: The location where the oval was built is DEFINITELY NOT southern Spain. It's north-east.
Fourth: As for the Dream Drive route...why don't you go the extra mile (or in this case, 60 miles east from Sitges), get to the mountains around Salou and experience for yourself roads used as World Rally Championship stages?

@SuzyWallace Sounds like a plan: make a Speedhunters based team race on one of the lower classes with a cheap car, and make a post afterwards telling all story, something like "How To Race At The N24 And Not Die In The Process"
@FunctionFirst Well, if the plate frame stating "BAG RIDERS" means anything, is that the car has air suspension, which means it should be able to rise and drive on it's own.
"Next up, we have a car that just might incite some colorful conversation in the comments section. In fact, it almost seems like that may have been the intention with this build."
What's the point of that? I mean, is building a car that starts flame-wars and makes people launch hate at each other something to be proud of?
In my opinion, it would be far better trying to build a car that makes people go "That is most beautiful Z4 on the planet. It is literally perfect in every way you look at it. I can't find any flaw with it."
I think the basic problem with "stance" is that it makes a machine more inefficient at it's core task (in this case, going from A to B) for the sake of form/style/looking cool/however you want to call it.
Imagine if someone took a food blender and switched the blades with ones that look like dollar signs. Now the blender doesn't work as well anymore (blades' regular shape creates air currents that move the food from under the blades to above them, ensuring the food get properly blended) but IT LOOKS COOL!!1!
If I somehow manage to go there next year, is there a chance I meet a SpeedHunter? Because I would probably squee like a fangirl.
FUCK.
I missed this. I'M A BARCELONA NATIVE.
I could take a couple buses (yay for efficient public transport!) and be at the track in 90 minutes.
Also, if you talk about gradients, you should mention Turn 9. The straight before is uphill, the corner itself is kinda flat, and straight after it is downhill, right into the "La Caixa" turn braking.
@lalandeusse Er, I think that's actually the Dax Rush, if this picture of a similar model is accurate:

"Amongst all the positives, there is one sad postscript, as on the Sunday Christian Devereux was killed whilst driving his 1965 Mini Cooper in the Pre-66 Touring Car race: we send our condolences to his family and friends."
Damn, such a great post and then BAM! Hit right in the "feels". R.I.P.
@roninlotus211 You owned an Stratos? Tell us more! Did you use it as a daily driver? Weekend toy? Is it really that cramped in the interior? Did people look at it and say "The hell is that?!" or something similar?
250 miles...since going to my local track (Circuit de Catalunya) and back would take only 30-35 miles, I'd go with doing as many laps as possible. Call me a racer-boy, but with this type of car, I just want to go fast.
No way! I remember him doing agressive overtakes on a Suzuka F1 race, can't wait to see what he's capable of in a closed-wheel car!
"Are you concern about my safety? It's not my fault if some individual are better driver than others :)"
No, I'm concerned about the safety of the people in the car you may crash into.
What's the point of going fast if you don't have as much fun as the guy in the car with a stick shift?
The early models had a Ford-based engine, but after model X (I don't know which) all the engines are made in house, I guess.
@somebodysb21 Yep. Just one question: Is she single?
That 355 had a "3 PEDAL" license plate, ain't that great?
