How civilized.  While I can't vouch for the accuracy of the spin, but apparently Torts offered enough sound bites to make a "Let's blame the victim" wrap up quite plausible.  For someone who is a pro at speaking to the press, I can't believe he didn't know what he was saying or how people would run with it.  Ah, narcissism, the last people to see it are the ones suffering from it.

@AG_Blue I got some very nice portraits of the lads on the bench and I'll see if I can get a few of those uploaded onto the NYR facebook page tonight since I don't see how to do it here.  When I'm at to the office I'll go through my shots of the ice action.  My cellphone has its limitations, but with some good cropping, I hope to get some nice action scenes.  One of these days I'll invest in a telephoto digital camera.  Its such a toss up from being in the game to trying to capture it!  Today I had the pleasure of enjoying both!

@AG_Blue  @Hokaheyhockey Thanks for educating me on Powe's age.  I guess he's "young" compared to Ash and Halpern. LOL. And yes, let Ash fully recover so he can work his best mojo and provide some sweet hockey for the playoffs where he loves taking it up to a whole new level of play. And when my cell phone is finished rebooting from my torching it taking photos at today's game, I'll share my best on my facebook page.

Great blog and great write up today.  I had a dream seat behind the players' bench it was a delight to see Torts give attaboys to the guys.  Who would have thought that the 2nd period would have been such a game changer?  Usually that's weakest period for the Caps as well as the Rangers And although the prospect of winning got better with each tick of the clock, the Rangers kept their warrior focus right to the end.

And great write up on the 4th line.  My bets are on Ash, Halpern and Powe.  Ash for breaking the plays, grinding, sneaking the occassional biscuit into the oven, and keeping cheap shots from happening, Halpern for that multi-dimensional playing, and Powe for pure youth, ambition and tenacity.

66K for Lunqvist's lid? Yowza!  Congrats to Henrik for his generosity.  Alas us poor mortals who cannot afford such dreams!

Ash lost it because Bylsma wasn't getting it that the Cryers wanted to win and was too busy pandering to Crosby who was having fantasies of being a 4th liner.  I think it was Ash's way of saying to Shero "WTF?" since no one else was getting through.
