I don't care what the numbers say... The past few, the rangers have at least made it a game when they went down early. They used to fold when they got down, bit lately, win or lose, they are competing

@KreiderisTheChosenOne Yea, great move… went after the guy that didn't knee Marchand in the head. He went after the guy that hit Eriksson hard and clean… And had to slew foot him and punch his head into the ice… real stand up guy

Very well said.. No matter how you viewed Tortorella as a coach, love him or hate him, you have to admire him for changing this organization and putting them on the right path. I believe he is the #1 reason why this team is respectable again. And that I thank him for
1 year, 6 months ago on How I Want to Remember Torts
Exactly.. And Slats said Torts was "shocked", it just seems odd. You would think he would have some idea if players weren't happy with him
1 year, 6 months ago on Players Are Reason For Torts Firing; Richards Healthy Scratch An Organizational Decision
I think it's more of the butting heads with mgt but that's not an interesting headline. And since the media hated Torts, what better way to stick it to him than to say he lost the locker room and basically everyone in the org was fed up with. Pretty difficult to find a job after that. That's just a trumped up theory by me but you never know lol
I think this whole idea behind the players wanting him out is being overblown. No one in the media had suspected Torts' job was on the line, yet within hours they knew why. It just doesn't seem to make sense. I understand some rumblings but not enough to give Torts the boot. Something else is up
Everyone in the league checks the guy by riding him into the boards with his back leg. That's eactly what Dorsett was doing until he got knocked of balance.
Sidenote: Alan May of CSN was ripping the refs and said MDZ hit Perrault from behind face first into the glass. I mean, SERIOUSLY?!? Bunch of whiners.

Fair enough. Can't argue with you there. Maybe if he lit hte lamp a few times, or anyone on his line for that matter, some of those get swept under the rug.

Cally ain't doing so bad himself. His wife isn't too shabby.
Kev, your point is well taken, but what is Boyle doing, or not doing, to say he's passionless. He just not a very good player, solid, but not a scorer. I feel since his benching, he has been effective. He is throwing his body all over the place, playing solid defensively. He has taken a few bad penalties (thought last night's was a little weak), but everyone seems to be using him as a scapegoat. He's a 3rd/4th line center. I'd like to see him contribute at least a few points here and there, but I wouldn't say he's "passionless". The other two, absolutely agree, especially Gabs.
@rangersfan So what were the 5 goals Kreider scored in the playoffs last year? You're out of your mind to think they don't have at least as much potential as Stepan offensively
1 year, 10 months ago on Chris Kreider Sent to Whale, JT Miller Staying?
That was my thought but if you actually watch, he was really just following him in his face, very little contact. Not surprised or upset with the call, but a little weak IMO
1 year, 10 months ago on The Nash Shootout Goal Just Because
Live I thought that it was definitely a hook on Nash, but after they kept showing it, he just had his stick "parallel" to the ice, not even using it. Very weak in my opinion.
Also, missed hand pass on Horton's goal, although a lot of bodies around so that one was forgiveable
Gilroy is what he is, but I'm really happy with the way Stralman is playing, both offensively and defensively. Pleasant surprise
1 year, 10 months ago on Are Girardi & Staal Back Together?
I think MDZ playing with McD will help MDZ just play and not worry about other things. Staal is obviously back to form, but McD is what Staal is but a much better skater. Can cover up a little more space if MDZ gets caught up ice We don't want that to happen, but it might help MDZ play a little more freely offensively and get him back to the first few games of the season. It's not like it's a crazy change, as both Staal and McD are both terrific
@RSJem @Mills Lane Clearly a "fact" is a still shot of Richards jawing at the ref. No possible way Richards was talking to him, or yelling at someone else.
I'm sure he was complaining in that pic but a still shot is no more fact than someone saying Crosby got away with a slew foot last night
1 year, 10 months ago on Sidney Crosby is a Whiny Bitch Who Gets Away With Murder
@Mills Lane You're asking for an answer and when someone answers you tell them to "butt out". No one said the Rangers/Torts doesn't complain. What ppl are saying is that Crosby does it more. So I'll "shut the fuck up" now
Can you read? Or are you just ignoring what people are saying?
Everyone here is saying every player whines/dives, but Crosby does it more noticeably and consistently... and is ALWAYS looking for a call
So what you're saying is that Crosby whines enough for 3 people....
Get outta here you clown... Crosby was pissed because he got hit pretty good. THAT is part of hockey, not slew foots
Aside from the fact that Kunitz put his glove in Girardi's face.... Incredibly weak call, but Newbury got canned for it the other day
Win or lose, I hate watching them play the Penguins. All they do is whine about something happening and get a makeup call a few minutes later, (ie. the Girardi call where he went back at him and fell down.) Crosby and Malkin are quietly two of the dirtiest players when it comes to slew foots. Not to mention, Malkin's tomahawk to Staal's head...
You're 100% right. I think the popularity of the league is at its highest in a long time and people are starting to pay more attention to it... A lockout would destroy all the momentum it has gained
2 years, 3 months ago on Darren Rovell Believes Hardcore Fans Are Responsible For NHL Lockout | September
For some reason I started following him (maybe I thought he was a funny ESPN personality), and every single day since, he has made himself look more and more foolish... He's just a flat out idiot lol
@AG_Blue @Ranger Dave @KevinDeLury @BuckarooClub
Yes, Hank did benefit from the whole team defense, but he still is one of the best in the game. Opening up to a little more offensive system won't kill them defensively as much because they have that backstop
