Cold War gets 6. But The Bells of St John and The Rings of Akhaten are 10. I can watch these episodes over and over! Akhaten is a classic in my eyes. And Bells is another fave of mine. A great start to our Clara.
"Doctor: Do you remember me?
Clara: No. Should I? Who are you?
Doctor: The Doctor. No? The Doctor?
Clara: Doctor who?
Doctor: No, just the Doctor. Actually, sorry, could you start all that again?
Clara: Could I what?
Doctor: Could you just ask me that question again?
Doctor: Okay, just once more.
Doctor: Ooo. Yeah. Ooo. Do you know, I never realised how much I enjoy hearing that said out loud. Thank you.
Oh, I love these two!

Vincent and the Doctor - Touching! 10
The Lodger - Great fun. And Craig! 8
The Pandorica Opens / The Big Bang - Love the Doctor's speech, but... 6
A Christmas Carol - Used to be my favorite of Moffat, until Last Christmas. 8

For me they were friends, who are now and will remain enemies. It's like the Doctor said in Death in Heaven: "I had a friend once. We ran together when I was little. And I thought we were the same. But when we grew up, we weren't."
The Doctor will always want to be a good man (or try to be one) and the Master/Missy,"Did I mention, bananas."
Oh, very well written article, Mr. Distefano!

The Vampires of Venice - Very nice one. Loved Helen McCrory as Rosanna! 8
Amy's Choice - How interesting is the concept of the Dream Lord! 9
The Hungry Earth / Cold Blood - Not my favorite two-parter, but far from bad, with a surprise ending. 7

The Eleventh Hour - What a marvelous start to the Raggedy Man! "Hello. I'm the Doctor. Basically, run." 9
The Beast Below - Very underrated. 8
Victory of the Daleks - Just ok. 6
The Time of Angels / Flesh and Stone - The Angel in Amy's eye scared me to death! 7

Great article! And I remember another good one published here last year (Dear Whovians...). I think sometimes we need a reminder.
Recently I said I don't like The Girl in the Fireplace very much and that works for me better as a standalone. Some said they didn't buy it. I mean, you don't have to agree with me, just respect my opinion.
Also I adore Rose and Clara! Unfortunately they're constantly under fire. On the other hand, I don't like River at all (apart from the beginning of Series 6), but I don't think her fans are wrong. They must have seen something I didn't. As I can see something I admire about Rose and Clara and others don't.
Anyway, I love DW and love being here on the site, only wish we can continue disagreeing politely.

@Alleigh member of P.O.N.D.S Well, the number one choice is interesting, but thinking like you, is not a couple either. Far from it. And as SamanthaBH said, neither was Ten/Reinette. Let's agree to disagree.

Midnight - I was so tense throughout the episode. Utterly brilliant! 10
Turn Left - Although dark, sad, how I loved Rose and Donna together. 10
The Stolen Earth / Journey's End - I hate Donna's ending! Or see the Doctor alone. But I love everything else. All the companions, the kind of happy ending for Rose. Fanservice? Perhaps. Don't care. 10
The Next Doctor - Not my favorite of RTD, but I enjoy it. 8

Utopia - How I love this one! And those final moments. 10

Last of the Time Lords - It would be 10 if not for the Doctor Jesus. 9
Voyage of the Damned - Allons-y, Alonso! Good Christmas episode. 8
The Lazarus Experiment - Good entertainment. 7
42 - I think it's very underrated by the fandom. 8
Human Nature / The Family of Blood - Masterpiece, perfection and so on! One of the best performances of Tennant's career. Martha is awesome and loved Joan. Oh, and how lovely is that mention of Verity Lambert and Sydney Newman. :) 10

Love & Monsters. Honesty I don't know how to rate it. It's such a strange episode. And the Abzorbaloff? Awful.
Fear Her. 7. Judge me, but I like it.
Army of Ghosts. 10. Fantastic and a great cliffhanger.
Doomsday. 10. Epic! And sooo heartbreaking!!!
The Runaway Bride. 8. Best temp in Chiswick.
"Donna: Tell me where I am. I demand you tell me right now where am I?
Doctor: Inside the TARDIS.
Donna: The what?
Doctor: The TARDIS.

Donna: That's not even a proper word. You're just saying things."
God, I miss her!

Rise of the Cybermen / The Age of Steel. Love the idea of parallel world.

I love the first 3. Except Girl. I see it as a good standalone, but I always felt out of place for the Series.
@stargazer0118 Oh, my dear stargazer, amen to that!
The new poll system is more interesting, but I have to say I'm quite awful at giving scores. With DW, even when an episode is not great I try to find something good. Anyway, among these the only one I don't like much is The Long Game. All others are 10.
Dalek. My first story with them. And what a great way to start! Loved!
The Long Game. Meh...
Father’s Day. Outstanding, beautiful episode! Who would not consider doing what Rose tried to do?
The Empty Child / The Doctor Dances. "Mummy? Mummy? Are you my mummy?" It gives me chills every time!

@Shane Michaels @MaddyKika @TardisBoy! Yeah, you're right. It's just I like her so much. And her journey. I love the fact that she's just an ordinary girl and as anyone, has flaws.
I guess it's like Ten said "Everything she did was so human."

@TardisBoy! Always nice to see love for Rose on here. I'll never understand the hatred that some have for her.
Well, Ten is my favorite Doctor, so I'm fine where he is. But Rose and Donna should be much higher.
And Wilf? Elton higher than him? Really?! No, no, no...
I agree 100%! Series 8 is Moffat at its best and Capaldi is brilliant! Truly a outstanding debut.

Capaldi is so extraordinary, that in Deep Breath he was already the Doctor for me. As for Missy, still need a little more.

Excellent article! For me John Hurt is nothing but perfect as the Doctor! I'm glad you mentioned the scene he opens up with Clara. Of course his great interacting with the other Doctors, but I especially loved that and his scenes with the Moment.

To be honest, overall I like them all and Eleven had such great moments. But without a doubt Series 8 wins my vote. I loved the stories and this TARDIS team is absolutely thrilling!
Sad for DW, but so so happy for Tennant! Despite the fact that he's my Doctor, he's just an amazing, wonderful actor. Plus, nice to see Billie, Catherine and RTD.

interesting. I'm sure you would do very well. :)
1 month, 3 weeks ago on Why We Shouldn’t Hate The Tenth Doctor’s Regeneration
Nice to have another impression that fast. For me, Ten's regeneration makes perfect sense. Everything fits because of his personality, all that led him to that moment and what he lost in such short time.
I don't think there should be something like the 50th anniversary, but I'd love a documentary or a minisode.
1 month, 3 weeks ago on Russell T Davies on New Who’s 10th Anniversary
I won't put in better words than has already been said in some comments, but for me the thing is, yes, all the incarnations are essentially the same person, however the personality changes entirely.
Speaking only about NuWho, I think Ten is the most human Doctor. And because of that and for all that he went through, his regeneration made sense. I mean, for someone with that personality, his life was extremely short.
Plus, I don't understand the problem with "I don’t want to go." It just suits him. He even said something like that in Journey's End, in a more playful way. "I didn't want to (change). Why would I? Look at me."
So, I respectfully disagree from the article.

I found the episode amazing, but the sleigh ride and the moments with old Clara were my favorites. Couldn't stop crying in both.
The first one the Doctor seemed so genuinely happy. "Look at me. I'm riding a sleigh."
And the second, oh my, the whole scene was PERFECT for me!
2 months ago on 12 Great Moments From Last Christmas
This is extremely cruel DWTV! Love "A Christmas Carol", but I'm going with "Last Christmas", as it is (so far) my favorite of Moffat. It was dark and sad, but also incredibly joyful. Just beautiful!

I've always believed in Santa Claus. But he looks a little different to me."
This will certainly remain with me from now on. What a beautiful moment!
2 months ago on Rate & Discuss Last Christmas
"The Doctor and Clara will return next year..." I feel so happy right now! I didn't want to, but I thought she was leaving, so that was a Christmas gift for me. Still I can understand those who felt betrayed by the end.
But for me it worked, really loved the episode! Inception is one of my favorite movies ever and I liked how the dream within dream concept was shown and the monsters were quite good.
Anyway, Clara and the Doctor. OMG, I ADORE them! It will break my heart the day that inevitably they will have to separate. But for now I'll enjoy the moment. When she hugged him, I wish I could hug them both! And the sleigh ride was so beautiful! Couldn't hold back the tears, just as the moment they got into the TARDIS at the end.
Merry Christmas to all Whovians and DWTV! And that tomorrow will not be the last one of Clara!
2 months ago on Merry (Last) Christmas!
Really love both, but The Time has some small things that bother me, so I'm going with The Snowmen. It's one of my favorite performances of Matt and it was the episode that Clara got me.
"Clara: What, snow that can remember? That's silly.
Doctor: What's wrong with silly?
Clara: Nothing. Still talking to you, ain't I?"
I don't know exactly why, but I liked her right there. Hated when she died.
