@gdhjkasjkasjbh Hi, sorry for the late reply - I don't follow this page for support requests.
This is not really a CatLoop problem, but here is the solution.
Go to Pagelines>Site Options>Blog and Posts, scroll all the way at the bottom of that options page and in the Allow tags in excerpts add "<i>" (no quotation marks).
PageLines already incorporates Bootstrap Icons. So they might duplicate if you use a plugin for additional fonticons.

Yes, it makes perfect sense now.
If you check my Home Page (the blog page) you see the coveted Magazine Layout with full-width posts. If you check http://www.anthalis.dk/category/just-wordpress/ - a category page using the regular category layout - you will see that, in my case too, there are just the post clips, with or without CatLoop enabled it makes no difference. There is no option in PL to make the full-width posts happen in cat pages now. So yes, it is a PageLines thing and I guarantee you my section did not mutate the code in PageLines.
You could consider alternatives. One option would be to insert the respective posts via shortcode in the page's content (assuming you are using a static page). Also, PageLines has a list of PageLines Pros http://www.pagelines.com/pros/ - you could try to contact them and get a custom solution, because the fact of the matter is that CatLoop can not offer you what you want at this point (the full-width posts at the top of the section).
For the record:
My description in the PageLines store (http://www.pagelines.com/store/sections/catloop) and in this page says:
"The layout will be on one column content-wide (Blog Mode) or two columns (Magazine Mode), based on the settings in Blog and Posts.
NOTE: It will not display full-width posts at the top of the clips in Magazine Mode, only two columns. It works only with regular posts not with custom post types. "
This explanation was intended to show what the resulting layout of CatLoop would be based on your settings (one column or two columns) while clearly stating that it will not show any full-width posts. I don't see what is "off" about that, especially since the "full posts will not show" mention is right below the phrase you quoted to me ;)

@RickWeiss1 @anthalis As far as I see, CatLoop is doing what it's supposed to on your front page. The difference between your front page and the category pages is that the category pages are wider. As for the magazine layout - THAT is the PageLines magazine layout (a grid of posts/excerpts), as opposed to the Blog layout (full width posts/excerpts). Can explain in more detail what you are trying to achieve with CatLoop?
@RickWeiss1 Hi Rick. Can you provide a link to the page so that I can see what's what? If the site is not public, some screenshots will do.
@JenniferKegleyLet me know if you need further assistance.
@LucaGerginsky Hi Luca,
Sorry to hear the section did not help you. May I ask what you tried to do with it and failed?

@ryanopaz Hi Ryan,
If you want to add several CatLoops, you will need to make a small change to the section.php file - change cloning: false to cloning: true.
However, if you do so and you enable pagination for one loop or more, when you turn the page (click on page 2 for ex. ) it will turn the page for all loops. This means that you would need to make sure you don't have categories with a lot less posts than others, because the categories that run out of posts will display a not-found message, while the others will continue to display (which is why I didn't activate cloning).
I activated cloning here, so you can see what's happening with insufficient pages. As long as you have the same number of pages in each category, it should work ok.
If you will not use pagination and you just want to show the most recent N posts in each category, then just change cloning to true and go ahead with making your category sections.
I hope this helps.
