@Wordie @paulcarr And if that's the case then Uber seems like a luxury product that isn't for the average consumer, but rather for people willing to pay a premium to get the service.I've never used the service myself, but when you're looking to catch a ride on Uber, does it notify you that surge pricing is in effect before you accept the fare? Or do they just pick you up and charge you a more expensive price when you get out?

@paulcarr Is Uber charging their normal 2x surge pricing really considered price gouging? From the way I understand the service, surge pricing goes into effect when there is more demand than supply as a way to encourage more drivers (supply) to come out and drive. Claims of price gouging would be a little more reasonable if Uber had invented a 2x surge price to capitalize on this particular disaster.
I think Pinterest would be a better fit in the Google catalog - if in anyones... It is basically a crowd organized/social Google Image search, so what better way to drive sales traffic through Google's advertising/affiliate channels?
