I'm not going to say that Mattingly is a GREAT manager, but I know that he is better than Ned Yost.

The Royals are in the World Series.

just listened to a long, interesting radio interview with Dave Vassegh

- Mattingly is almost certainly not going to be fired-- "Kasten has a track record of staying with managers."

- Colletti is almost certianly going to go soon - "The upper management had a very long meeting today. Something is going to happen."

- According to his sources, the failed Brian Wilson gamble possibly angered management more than anything

"A shortstop in the National League MUST be able to field his position. If he could, that inning might never have happened. It's not like the AL where you can just disguise your incompetence with the DH. It was embarrassing. Hanley ABSOLUTELY NEEDS TO GO."

More Rolling Stone:

Yet some of these same "best fans in baseball" saw nothing wrong with trying to shout down a small group of Ferguson protestors the other night, and lecture them on how "we gave you your freedoms." In some parts of St. Louis, "classy" is apparently still spelled with a capital "KKK."

......Though their fans will vehemently deny it, these two teams are rapidly becoming the National League equivalents of the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox."
