It's been a very long time since I posted and I was not asked to attend the meetings in San Diego. So I am back in LA at my new "advisor" position playing golf at Bel Air CC. Pretty nice gig if you ask me. But here is what I would do if I was still GM. This kid Cabrera, is young! I mean I believe in second chances, so he might have off the field issues, who doesn't. With that I would offer 5 years and a players option at $15.75 million per year. That should get the deal and no haggling with other teams involved. Heck we got deep pockets, don't get out bid on this guy!

Boy its been a long time since I have commented on this board as it has been a very busy and might I say successful season. Mike as always has done a great job at covering the team and I cannot wait to hear the season report on Drew Butera. I know he had a great season for us coming off the bench and we hope to retain him for next season in the same capacity.

@Omer If I didn't have respondsibilites with the club I would think that was funny. And your not going to believe this,....but a lot of people in LA don't believe in us.

I just want to let everyone know how disappointed I am in the performence of this team in the last month and a half. However, on the positive side I did get a contract extention!
Man I take a good picture don't I. Juan there looks good too.

Does anybody know where Juan Uribe is? I have been trying to reach him, I have something to tell him.

That ride on the subway is so convenient. But Juan Uribe, I have know all along that he is a professional hitter and is going to be a big asset to us the rest of the season.

@Gilbert_Venge This is in my own voice, but in writing.

There is no reason to DFA Juan Uribe right now. As Mike said he drove in his first run in a month, he's starting to heat up and is making some quality at bats. Also he is historically a second half player. I'm thinking he is something we can look forward to seeing the second half.
I can't help thinking when I read this article that it was a knock on me as a GM. I will say that is a good photo of me and Juan, he sure fills out the uniform well.
