Those are the lines I would put together... Miller at his natural position.. Boyle can take important face offs, as he has been good in the circle all season. I would like to see someone a little better than Pyatt..but don't think we have that person right now

Another reason to not join the team could be to get treatment for an ailing muscle injury. Lets not try to panic about everything!!

@KevinDeLury @Fleisch have you looked at the devils schedule? Islanders, Philly, Washington.. Not exactly Boston and Pitt. But the real difference is the Devils have had 2 days off between games.. Which is huge when conditioning is down.. The 2nd game of a back to back and most teams are losing them!! The Rangers lost 5 starting forwards.. It takes time to mesh... Why panic after 4 games? Last I checked nobody makes the playoffs in the 1st week.

Are we really waxing poetic a bout Mitchell? A 4th line center!!! This is preseason for the Rangers... Lets see where they are after 10 games before we start panicking even a little.. I'm looking for them to hopefully go 5-5, while they find their legs and build some chemistry..no need to worry!!
@mprestop I 100% agree with you, its about everyone making money, and I am on the players side as well. However, I dont have to continue to support it.
Lastly, When Time Warner Cable and MSG decided to blackout games for the month of January so they could argue money...I cancelled Time Warner and got Verizon Fios...
If Charmin does right by me, I will buy their product, if they dont, I will wipe my ass with something else...
I guess next year my money for season tickets will go to the NY Giants!!!

@mprestop Its billionaires arguing with millionaires, not a bunch of blue collar factory workers...So i couldnt care less about how it hurts the players or the owners pockets... I always take notice when any company lays off their employees....
However, Its the fans who continue to get punished by not getting to watch the sport they love, and value as entertainment....
These owners and Bettman, keep talking about how its about the fans.....if thats so, then stop screwing them!!!! After they rollback the players salaries, and increase their percentage in revenue, are they going to roll back the ticket prices. concession prices? Doubt it!!!
Bottom like, I keep buying into it, keep coming back and handing them my money....Thats done with another lockout!!
@KevinDeLury Its insane!!! he is a raise and a new contract, but at the end of the CBA we are going to take it all back....makes perfect sense....AWFUL!!!
This might be the end of hockey for me...I'm 36 and I have been a die hard Rangers fan my entire life....I do not blame the players at all for what is going on and about to happen (lockout)...I blame Gary Bettman 100%....Has their been a commissioner in any other major sport that with 3 lockouts under their watch???
Going forward, should their be a 3rd lockout, and it certainly looks like that will happen, I would have to be a fool to comeback and pay money to watch hockey again...This is by far and away my favorite sport and team, but by continuing to come back to hockey everytime this moron Bettman, decides lets lock them out until the players give up their pay, which by the way, the owners agreed was fair market value and a good idea...its just nonsense...
Im still hoping they get a deal done, but if this should cost the fans any more then a few weeks of hockey, the NHL and Gary Bettman will not get another dollar from me.
On a side note, how much with Mr. Dolan be reducing ticket prices if the CAP is brought done from $70 mil to $50.....If he is going to save $20mil then the fans should get a break on the cost of tickets, right?
I have lived in manhattan for the the past 6 years, and when I move out at some point in my life, I'm not going to miss it...
I'm sure Dubi liked it while he was here, he is young and worked in manhattan, so why not live there...I think you are reading to much to much into this...

1 year, 6 months ago on TheNYRBlog Taking a Break...Maybe for Good
I've been friends with Kevin for over 20 years.. Him shutting down the blog will only guarantee that the Rangers will win the Stanley Cup next season... My support of that statement is thatWe have had season tickets since the lockout.. This past season we didn't renew our tickets and the Rangers came 2 wins away from going to the Cup... Shutting this blog down is the last piece..
All that being said, this is not an easy decision to make for a married guy, with 3 kids, and a full time job, who does this blog in his limited free time for no money...Enjoy the break, but I believe he will be back before they drop the puck next season
@KevinDeLury @AnnoyingJoeTradeDelZotto Torts said, they dont try and change players into something they are not...After this interview, I actually believe him...Looking at Gabby, I dont think Torts wants him blocking shots...but just battling on the boards and in the corners a bit more....

After listening to both interviews, its seems the bigger focus will be on the Blueline then anywhere else....fixing the blueline will also help the PP if you can get somebody who can shoot the puck from the point, which is what was missing big time this year.
I think as far as the forwards are concerned, I would look for them to get younger and quicker and a lottle more physical on the 3rd and 4th lines.
As far as scoring, I think they will count on a better year from Richards and Dubi..
while getting increased production from Hagelin and Stepan as they get another year under their belts....and also add Kreider to the mix...
To sum it up, 3rd and 4th line depth, and I think a big signing or trade for someone on the blueline.
Panic move!!! Zucc, played average at best for the 2 weeks he was with the team...The problem is to many mistakes in own end, and just not playing our game....The PP has actually been good these playoffs at most times...
last time we played our best game and lost west against the Sens, and we know what happened in games 6 and 7...I ride it our with this lineup, cleanup our game and see if Richards and Stepan show up at all...
I also liked Dubis games last night...looking for more in game 6...
Lets go Rangers!!!

@AnnoyingJoe @cb1 @StephenThomasFontana @KevinDeLury based on how shanny makes decisions, no history, no penalty, no injury=no suspension, just a fine....see shea weber
@AnnoyingJoe Picture is classic....Marty is thing 1 of 2 this:
Not this kid again or I've fallen and I can't get up!!
I would think Prust gets a fine and nothing more... I don't think he has has history, player wasn't hurt and no penalty was called on the play... Now that I said that, he will get 3 games!
Avery, Feds are off the books...I think Artie and Dubinskys futures will be with another club...at some point in the next 2-3 years Drury's and Reddens contracts will also be off the books freeing up plenty of cap space. With Erixon and Big Mac going up on defenses, not sure if Sauer will have a future here either.....
