Excellent conversation, and I enjoy the opportunity to see netw3rk writing in long form. This quote got my attention: "On the one hand: sure, Ricky’s experiences as a Muppet Baby pro-basketball player helped shape his incredible altruism and court vision. On the other hand: if that’s the case, why aren’t there hundreds of other Rubios pouring out of the European continent like some Gothic horde?"
Have to wonder, though, do you think there are maybe two Rubio's out there? Two Lin's? I'm wondering to what extent the basketball establishment has been unable to identify good point guards that don't follow the "From America, to Division I power conference" template.
