@Mike Petriello @JohnTiner I'm still feeling like we are leading in all categories related to flukes, injuries, dumb mistakes, dumb luck and dollars spent. Is there a world series for that?
Although I follow baseball everyday, I don't follow any other team in depth other than the Dodgers(ok-I'm obsessed). BUT, do you guys think any other team has had as many injuries and visits to the DL as the Dodgers over the last 12 months? I mean, is there something in the air or water at Chavez Ravine? Is Ned a secret agent for the Giants? I just can't comprehend the amount of "Bad luck".
I think we are all kidding ourselves, Ted Lilly has whiplash from watching Dingers fly over his head... I too hope he is done. Have a good retirement Theodore Roosevelt Lill.
@Mike Petriello @WBBsAs There is no grade on the grading scale that would work. Also, I think we just need to give him one more at-bat to "prove" himself and watch him corkscrew himself deep into the earth's crust.
@CodeBlueICU This is what I believe. He looks too much like 2010 Kemp right now.
You had me at "Delicious". It's just encouraging after the last few days of "play" that the Dodgers are actually in the conversations this early.
I usually punch the couch right before I black out. Very frustrating but Matt Kemp is incredilawsomeness!
@EephusBlue Veteran presence!(or cheap and past prime) Ned's favorite line. Plus Coffey runs out like a Jabba on fire.
@EephusBlue Scary thought indeed. Just like McDonald and Coffey scares the crap out of me.
Although I am also intrinsically pessimistic, especially about my favorite team, there's just been too much negative news around the Dodgers for the past year(s) not to lean towards a positive outlook. So, I am choosing to just enjoy the day in the sun in 1st place. I don't care that the wins are against the Pirates or Padres. I'm ignoring all of the beat writers with the "don't get too excited" droning. So, when can we get excited? We finally got a new owner and now many are trying to poop on that parade too. Can we just get excited? Do we have to wait until the final out of game number 7 in the World Series to get excited? If so, we should find another interest in our lives than following and enjoying the Dodgers. Go Dodgers! I'm going to the game on Saturday and rooting for us to beat the crap out of the Padres while enjoying the pitching exploits of Ted Lilly!
