@- Casey - I am extremely notascout, but I saw both him and Puig in the minors, and their talent is just obvious. I'm not saying he's Puig by any means, just that he has very noticeable athletic ability.

@I Digesti @BIah he definitely performed well, and it was great to watch, but it was always a little shaky.

@BIah @I Digesti The only people who really thought Beckett was likely to keep it going were people who overvalue thet pitcher win.

@nsxtasy @fan person @Condorave no, I'm making fun of the other guy. Not Don. Don's fine. Least of the Dodgers' problems IMO.

@PagansOedipalComplex Billy Beane would have already won the WS with this payroll. It's already August!

@nvpuckstopper How do you know they won't win the WS despite Ned and Don? and if that happened, would it count? Or would you hold out for Billy Beane?

@nvpuckstopper Just be an A's fan. Less work.

@Lobo @potato (2014 MSTY: Newcomer of the Year) But WAR is a counting stat. If Hanley hit 19 homeruns in 80 games you wouldn't say "LOOK, HE CANT EVEN 20 HRs ANYMORE". You would recognize that, given the time missed, his production is extremely good.

@Lobo @potato (2014 MSTY: Newcomer of the Year) I haven't paid close attention to either of them. Have they had similar injuries? BC Hanley being _only_ a win behind those guys missing as much time as he has is pretty dang impressive

@potato (2014 MSTY: Newcomer of the Year) @Lobo I think the Dodgers will let themselves be outbid by some AL team who wants him more

@potato (2014 MSTY: Newcomer of the Year) @Lobo yup. I'd be fine with him staying, but I personally think he's gone after this year.

@Lobo @potato (2014 MSTY: Newcomer of the Year) just jumping in here, .300/.400/.500 used to be more common too. So both arguments take a lowered offensive environment for granted.

I walked right by Clayton and Ellen near Wrigley Field after a day game like 2 years ago. Didn't say anything because I didn't want to intrude.

@Purple Drank Kevin Costner bets the team 100 bucks that he can get them a rainout, so he turns on the sprinklers the night before, and all the guys run the bases in 80s looking jeans, having just a great time.
