@yanyo yeah, Iron Man, Iron Man 2, and Thor, were all launched earlier in some countries, i.e. It's happened for years, depending in the movie. Maybe you just don't "know of" movies, period.

TV shows do, in fact, alter our perception of the world at least partially. Shows like House, Sex and the City, and CSI actually have real-life effects: they impact career choices, shopping lists, and our idea of how things work/should work.
No matter how scripted, a TV show publicized under the genre "reality show" can most definitely affect our perception or "real", be it fake or not.
The self professed fiction works already do.
