This is a joke right? You actually brought in the people who were catastrophically wrong about the war to review it?

Oh, boo hoo. The real victims in this war were the Iraqis themselves whose country was mercilessly destroyed by the United States and al-Qaeda. Michael Hastings is dead-on accurate about Petraeus and his role in arming the Shi'a death squads.

The fundamental difference was Iraqis themselves: mass political parties, dynamic Baghdad government. In the absence of that, it doesn't matter how many troops you send, you are not going to change the trajectory of the war.

He's absolutely right on Petraeus. The man is a con artist who armed Shi'a death squads in Iraq and made a dismal failure of Afghanistan.

This is the guy who is being (falsely) credited for the so-called success in Iraq, implemented the disastrous strategy in Afghanistan where we now have Afghan soldiers and police officers killing American troops, the militarization of the CIA and the Benghazi screw-up that killed an ambassador and three other people.

And THIS is what forces him to resign?

She was his propaganda outlet, much the same way Ricks is for the Pentagon.

Great web-site. I just discovered it. I'm an SFU student who has decided to leave college and pursue a start-up. I'm developing a micro-agribusiness that connects local farms to local restaurants and co-ops. Through advertising and marketing, my web-site will serve as a portal and provide accessible (fresh and organic) cops for local vendors.
