@JasonGoldberg  Much love, and congrats on making fab ubiquitous.  some people smile from ear to ear. fab smiles from the baltic sea to the pacific ocean.

That said, pivot definitely has taken on more connotations than simply a dance step.  you would have to agree with me that a word may evolve meanings.  otherwise, pivot would still simply mean penis (12th century france).

@jebbdykstra99 A handshake deal is 3 steps less than a regular handshake.

1. Investor removes hand from pocket.

2. Startup removes hand from pocket.

3. Startup moves hand towards investor.

4. Investor grasps startup hand.

5. Startup shakes hand vigorously.

6. Investor shakes hand vigorously.

7. Ungrasp hands.

8. (Optional) Use hand sanitizer.

Must be nice to run a monopoly.  Customer complaints?  who cares... it's not like there's any real substitute.

@cordcutterguide Agreed.  But all ideas in the tv/entertainment MVPD space that are built on top of the existing infrastructure are ripe for disruption as soon as the industry (reluctantly) switches over to a la carte programming.

A single household paying for hundreds of channels they don't watch is the entertainment equivalent to gavage.  When will there be a pioneer who enables a la carte programming, so there's a legit and transparent and FUNCTIONING marketplace TV programming.  We must align incentives and reward the producers of quality TV programming.
