My favorite line. "And at first, the Mets have Ike Davis, who turns 26 next year and is the kind of hitter you can see making an All-Star team or two. The Dodgers have Gonzalez, a great player who didn't hit a lick last year and will turn 31, an age when first basemen sometimes just stop hitting."

In order to survive until 30, I'm just gonna stop following the Dodgers this year. My cardiologist will thank me.

How to beat the Dodgers.

1. Be the Colorado Rockies

2. Be the Milwaukee brewers

3. Be the center field wall

Not gonna lie, this trade scares me. I foresee a decade of futility ahead, caused by being financially handicapped.

@DodgersKingsoftheGalaxy A sweep of the hapless Chicago Cubs is nothing to hang your hat on. This team has some real holes that have me concerned.

This team is infuriating! When we pitch well the offense hibernates, when we put up some runs the pen coughs the lead right back up. We need to get things together if we're not only going to make the playoffs, bu go far into the postseason.

Can't say I'm not a little disappointed we couldn't upgrade more, but at least Webster gets to stay.

Anyone else surprised the Marlins took a non-Latin player for Ramirez? Them trying to cater to the Latino community and all. What Loria did down there is a sham

I remember seeing Ryan Howard when he was on the Lakewood Blueclaws, the Phillies minor league team. Lakewood is lik 10 minutes away from me. I also remember Hamels. If only we knew to get their Autographs instead of scrubs like Wes Carrol who never made it! :(

Living in Ocean County NJ, the NY and Philly TV rights overlap, I watch the Phillies from time to time and Victorino does not scare me in the least. He's pretty mediocre TBH.

I don't want to be a Debbie downer, but I'm not liking this trade to be honest. While it is undeniable that Ramirez has talent, his attitude is terrible. Not only that, his production has taken a turn for the worst over the past two seasons, and this season is looking to be much the same. Paying $40 million and Eovaldi for a regressing 3rd baseman with poor attitude just doesn't seem too smart to me.
