@LA_Woman @TellMyWifeISaidGoodbye @DroogyDodger (Blaise) a few teams missing key players. No Howard for Rockets no Cousins for Kings, off the top of my head

@Still PFP @Table (dick) @FurryBrick I think they really like Heisey cause he can play center. Last year that was an issue for the team

Carl Crawford with the Dodgers

5.2 BB% 14.4 K% .126 ISO .327 BABIP .290 AVG .333 OBP .416 SLG .329 wOBA 113 wRC+

Carl Crawford not with the Dodgers

5.3 BB% 14.8 K% .149 ISO .328 BABIP .292 AVG .332 OBP .441 SLG .335 wOBA 105 wRC+

With the Dodgers he has hit for a little less power, but adjusting for ballpark and enviornment with wRC+ you see that he's acctually been a better hitter in LA then elsewhere.

Obviously then, the reason we don't still talk about him like he's an elite player is that his defense and baserunning are no longer, well, "elite". They are still in the positive though.

My point is, Crawford should not be compared to Ethier. Crawford is not garbage. He's overpriced and by the time his contract is up he will be 35 and 1/2. For 2015 though? He's a great player to have platooning in left with Van Slyke. It's an overlooked blessing that he has been healthy enough and good enough to contribute at all.

@internet baseball fan potato friend He was worth 1.1 WAR is 8 starts last year. One win is 6-7 mill on the market. It's only a one year deal and obviously he could surpass 1 win with more starts. If he makes it all the way to 150 innings pitched he gets 14 mill, but even that is going to be a bargain if he stays that healthy. He's one of the top ground ball pitchers, and he's young. At worst he can't stay healthy, oh well. At best he's a major addition. Why would you not make this move? Nowhere does it say he's being relied upon.

@juanhenry No man. It really sucks to not be able to express yourself in a relationship. If you think you might have to consistently avoid the topic, it's going to make you feel bad.

It's not as if any pitcher is bulletproof. As has beem said, if you sign a seemingly more reliable pitcher for 2015, that likely means commiting to them for 2018+. So in reality you are signing up for more injury risk
