@ak825 @666foldamort @TellMyWifeISaidHello

from 2013-now

vs RH

CC:         5% BB,   14.6% K, .127 ISO, .341 BABIP, .301/.349/.429, 118 wRC+

Vslyke: 10.3% BB, 29.7% K, .186 ISO, .361 BABIP, .267/.340/.454, 130 wRC+

Vslyke with the higher wRC+ but with a .361 BABIP

CC also makes up ground with defense and baserunning

It's definitely possible that Vslyke is better than CC over a full season, but there is nothing wrong with the current setup. It's a good idea to try and get the most out of everyone on your roster.

@Weston T @Table (dick) I know, you have to do it. I just can't remember it happening. Usually when you throw a no no, you're cruising.

@ABSmileBunch The problem with those surveys is that all of the Dodgers moves need to be evaluated in context

60 million isn't that much money any more, and in 6 years it will be even less money. This reminds me of the Casey Blake extention. Sure the deal extends the player past his mid 30s, but those are just bonus years. The meat of the value is in the first 3-4 years, and as Dustin said, 4 years 50 million would have been reasonable. It's benefitial to tack on 2-3 years for a total of 12-13 mill

When you have by far the oldest infield in the major leagues AND championship aspirations, it makes allot of sense to add an above average starting player capable of playing 2nd or 3rd.

I wonder how much the stepping out of the box rules will affect hitting production. In a game where a 30-50 hits is the difference between a mediocre hitter and a great one, I don't think we can write it off as being insignificant. It's also interesting that higher salary players figure to be less affected since they would be more willing to pay fines. It's also possible that some hitters might benefit from hastened pace of play. We will have to wait and see

and yes Grandal was up from 3.97 and 3.68 during his first two partial seasons to 4.25 last year. So that contributed to the Ks

last year I had Mesoraco, Rizzo, Stanton, Brantley, and Seager on my team and needless to say their breakouts lead me to victory. I think Arenado is poised for a 5-6 WAR season, it's hard to convince people though.
