It's really compassionate of Nick to so concerned w/ player safety. I'm sure this comment was made right after he said defensive players shouldn't hit the ball carriers so hard, cause it might, you know, hurt them.

Unfortunately for SS, if he wont answer questions, and won't say why, then everyone else is free to speculate as much, and as wildly as they choose. If he or his bosses don't want wild speculation, they could preempt it by addressing why. He loves to use the media when it suits him, but if they don't play nice or play by his rules, he pouts, like the petulant baby he is.

ok, please provide us w/ a list of coaches in the modern SEC who have inherited a roster comparable to what DD inherited, and won immediately. (Not defending job DD has done, just think your bball/fball comparison was inequitable)

yeah, because SEC football and SEC basketball are exactly the same thing
It will be intersting to see how LT reacts next year when Kirby takes a HC job and Saban passes him over for the DC position at Bama. LT has been several places in the south and worked under a lot of DC's and HC's and I haven't seen anyone lining up to offer him a coordinator position. He seems to be one of those guys like Garner, Trooper Taylor who can't shed the label of good recruiter and/or position coach but not coordinator material at a big-time school.

@John at MrSEC Well gosh John, I guess you win the argument since you cited a "fact". The "fact" that Vandy has more commits than Tennessee doesn't mean they're behind schedule. And using your average stars per commit formula actually has them ahead of Vandy, but again, where they rank relevant to Vandy was not the the argument. The simple point was that you use the "fact" that UT only has 4 commits as an indication that UT is not doing well because of Dooley's job status, when the "fact" is that even in years when UT recruits really well, they don't have many commits this time of year.

"Tennessee and Kentucky are low on our board and that can be directly tied to the job security issues facing Derek Dooley... "
or it can be directly tied to the fact that Tennessee always has a low number of commits this year, actually ahead of where they've been in recent years.
agree w/ a lot of whay you said, and Fulmer is certainly responsible for a lot of the mess that DD inherited, w/ an assisst from Kiff, but it's time to stop the Fulmer/Kiffin/Hamilton blame-game and do it on the feild. And in order to do that, they need guys Like Da'Rick, tweets and all.
