@newraycom Thanks Ray, that is great to hear since that is one of my goals here... trying to help people "make the technology disappear".

Ray, Thanks for doing a great job helping people understand the use of HOA and Events together... the technology is a bit tricky but once you get it down, the value for engagement is amazing. You'll easily find those that are most interested in what you are doing and find ways to bring them into future conversations quite easily.

Nice idea, Chatter or work.com letting the virality of social inside a workplace... when the work force is used to social engagement outside of work, bringing that type of engagement into the workforce helps them 'enjoy work' more!

I LOVE the idea of the Tip Jar and the Pay-Per-View paywall on Vimeo.

YouTube has recently allowed us to send private videos to G+ circles directly from the Private Video Option... no payment handled there, but still pretty cool none-the-less: http://goo.gl/hv8aI

Here's hoping that YouTube will also come out with a paywall, private video share concept to try to 'keep up with Vimeo'.

Nice article on YouTube Custom Thumbnails... I'll be sharing it with my peeps over on the Social spaces!

I like how your branded sidebar leaves space for the 'video length time stamp' to show in SERPs... as an added tip, if people are planning on using that same area/space, leave room for elements that you have no control over, like the time stamp by GooTube. ㋡

Left loads of suggestions on the YouTube video comments area...

But overall, you list Tim, is a good one. I'd add to it more integration with G+ esp. in the comments arena.

Also tied to multiple login access, we should let one user ID have multiple YouTube Channels... I have multiple business ideas that each need their own 'Branded' YouTube channel... then they each need to connect to different G+ Brand pages. Right now I have to 'hack' my way in using bogus profile accounts just so I can get multiple Branded YT channels. YT should realize that one person may run multiple businesses and need multiple YouTube channels because of that fact.

Video is emotional... it can cause people to respond unlike any other medium. Those that dig into this kind of stuff know that purchase decisions are usually made on an emotional level, therefore Video helps people 'convert'... Plus with all the interactivity now rolling out within the video space (aka G+ Hangouts & Hangouts on Air) not doing video will allow your competition 'steal your customers'.

Simple question... does the 'interactivity' here allow a 'hot spot' so that a marketer showing a YouTube video Embed can get people to click a CTA hot spot which is the same as a hot-link to a different page?

Said another way, can my YouTube video embed show a cool t-shirt and when that t-shirt is visible, let the user click on it to go to the 'buy the t-shirt' order page?

@Kent Ong Similar concerns happen here in the US as well... especially if you read the tech media (since many of the articles are written by authors that don't 'Get G+ Yet')... but there are some forward looking tech media folks who are starting to 'see the advantages' and bust out of the mold.

Regardless, the marketing impact because of the fact this is 'made by Google' and the fact that Google 'Owns Search'... are reason enough to look into using and embracing the technology... you'll be ahead of the curve and be positioned when things break open for you in Malaysia. Thanks for your comment.

I use the new playlist trim feature to help make Hangouts more digestible! I have experimented with this and YES we can have the same video in a PL multiple times... Cool Beans!

That means We can have (for example) 1 PL that shows 3 different segments of the same video. So you can basically say to the viewer, watch the highlights of this crazy long video here in this Playlist instead of watching the whole thing. Then if the viewer gets hooked, they can just watch the entire video start to finish.

I love the summary of all the new stuff, good Job Guys! Can I go with you next year?

Know what...?

This may be a method for YouTube to help establish Ownership of YouTube videos! What I mean is, this could be a way for YouTube to let us 'Embed" our own videos on our own 'associated website' and that tells Google/YouTube (GooTubePlus) that the video is ours (as opposed to someone else that embedded our video). This could be the way to allow our Embeds from YouTube to rank in our site's search results...

Just a dream (maybe)?

Good job with the ins & outs of Video SEO. I still think you should give a disclaimer re. the value of Video Site maps if your videos all live on YouTube and are simply embedded in your site. Somehow that never seems to get mentioned whenever video site maps are discussed.

Got 1 question: in the Categories area, you mention that "...you can pick more than one."

I don't see that option (the ability to choose multiple Categories for a video on YouTube. Can you clarify that please? Thanks in advance.

So here is a question that many have asked me, and I'll in turn as you Tim...

With YouTube using their sound tracks makes it impossible for you to Monetize your video from that point on. What about Vimeo? If you use their Enhancer/Music Sound Track thingy... can you stick ads against the video (Monetize it) and get revenue from the ads or are you shut our from that option like you are on YouTube?

... And for @PaulAnthony and 'Friendly Music' - how about Monetization options when using Friendly Music?
